How Kennedy's chain shackled America forever

The outlandishness! What nerve! That's gratitude for you.

Recently, John McCain made a brutal, ad-hominem attack upon our beloved, ex-president Jimmie Carter, claiming - in so many words- that Carter (quote)..."was the worst president we ever had."

Indeed; Mr. McCain needs to step back and reflect upon everything Jimmie Carter truly accomplished during his revered, 4-year stint as America's 39th president.

After all, didn't Carter bravely withstand a wanton, unwarranted assassination attempt by a crazed rabbit? Did he not give away the Panama Canal? Did he not ignite the rise of fundamentalist radical Islam, when he supported Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and withdrew American support for the Shah of Iran in late 1978?

Or how about the 444 days of disgrace for America, when Mr. Carter took on the persona of Mr. Rogers during the Iranian hostage crisis?

And let's not forget when he signed the Community Reinvestment act in 1979, giving ACORN its reason for being; and recall how Carter boldly dismantled our CIA; ignited a mess with the Soviets in Afghanistan, and upon leaving office in 1980, inflation, unemployment and interest rates were all hovering at double-digit records.

But other than that, Carter performed admirably, and was a brave and noble president; so perhaps, McCain best make like Joe Wilson and say... "I'm sorry."

Curiously, now that both Wilson and the iconic Carter have catapulted onto the national stage, we need to step back and examine how we got to this strange crossroads of personalities in the first place:

EXHIBIT A- Joe Wilson calls Barack Obama a liar during a joint session of Congress

EXHIBIT B- Jimmie Carter, in rebuttal, pronounces Joe Wilson a "racist" (horrors!)

EXHIBIT C- our entire nation erupts in partisan indignation over who is actually being racist

But lest we immerse the nation in yet another futile debate over the incendiary topic of race, should we not first examine HOW Joe Wilson came to call Obama a prevaricator before the entire nation?

After all, is not the entire controversy over 12 million illegal aliens, who either ARE, or ARE NOT, eligible to receive free health care entitlements, in the democrats' plan to socialize America's medical establishment?

So how did we arrive at this appalling situation of 12 MILLION illegal aliens? Simple; the wondrous legacy of Edward (Teddy) Kennedy - the now-departed liberal lion of the Senate.

As a first-term senator, Edward Kennedy championed the rewriting of America's restrictive immigration laws - originally drafted in the 1920s -and single-handedly was responsible the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, signed by President Lyndon Johnson at the base of the Statue of Liberty.

While not only changing the ethnic makeup of America, Kennedy's 1965 law created the pitched partisan battles that today bitterly divide the nation over immigration.

Prior to 1965, America was a low-immigration country.

At the turn of the 20th century, America was becoming a fundamentally middle-class society, with very little (or no) immigration at all into the U.S.A. after 1924. From 1945 to 1965, the American economy boomed as never before - a period of near-zero immigration.

Economists tell us that automation (and technological advances in general), are impeded by a bounty of cheap manual labor - the bottom line effects of immigration.

But born of liberal ideology, Ted Kennedy's 1965 bill abolished the previous benchmark - a national origins' quota system that had regulated ethnicity in direct proportion to each group's existing presence in the population.

But why would Kennedy go to such great pains to reform our nation's immigration laws?

Did Ted Kennedy suddenly wake up one day and decide..."well gee whiz, the heck with this white European quota system we have...why not just open the southern and western borders, and let everyone come in - and bring their families; and we'll all live happily ever after!"

During the election of 1960, when democrat John Kennedy defeated republican Richard Nixon, a very young, politically-active Ted Kennedy learned the lesson of machine politics- how elections could be won (or lost) by "vote-maneuvering."

Nixon won California after a count of ABSENTEE ballots reversed Kennedy's narrow lead- giving the state's 32 electoral votes to Nixon. The overall count statewide was a margin of merely 13,000 votes, out of a huge total of 6.4 million cast.

NOTE: Nixon carried all of Illinois, except for Cook County, which includes, of course, Chicago. Nixon thus lost Illinios.

These important factors were not lost on the Machiavellian Ted kennedy. He realized his brother had won the nations' closest popular vote total ever because of fraudulent votes, and because Texas - with Lyndon Johnson on the ticket- had cast its 25 electoral votes for Kennedy.

After his brother's assassination in late 1963, Ted Kennedy knew it was only a matter of time when somday the Whitehouse could be his for the taking; Hence; all along Ted Kennedy sought a surefire way to deliver California, Texas & Chicago - ergo: the key to the Presidency.

So let the historians fumble & fudge for reasons why the late Ted Kennedy worked so hard for "chain" immigration reform.

The answer lies in knowing that if Kennedy could facilitate the migration of hordes of Hispanics across the Texas & Californian borders, they would someday form a giant, defacto block of democratic voters, to assure his election as a future president - and PERMANENTLY keep the Senate with a democratic voting majority.

Thus, in 1965, Kennedy successfully lifted national quotas on immigrants entering the country - also launching his reputation as an "advocate" for the foreign-born.

Before 1965, it was nearly impossible for immigrants from anywhere besides western Europe to come to the United States; but Senator Kennedy was to change all that.

In retrospect, the 1965 Immigration "DE-FORM" Act, has been the most destructive piece of legislation America ever implemented on its citizens. Ted Kennedy - in his jihad for immigration and democrat votes - was looking out for everyone - except working Americans.

Thanks to Ted kennedy, "We are a nation of immigrants,” is now a phony mantra of liberal disinformation.

From 1880 to the 1920s, immigration brought people to opportunity. Today America has only the opportunity to divide what we have left to ever-increasing numbers of hardscrabble ilegal aliens. Every six years, automation halves the necessity for labor to accomplish tasks once done by hand.

And all of Washington knows this; yet these "open-border" democrats - under the idea originated by Kennedy -"invite" more poor Hispanics, despite evidence that the American electorate greatly fears amnesty, and wants illegal immigrants gone, and their employers reprimanded.

The horrid legacy of Ted Kennedy endures: the 1965 Immigration Reform Act has remade America into the parallel societies critics once feared.  Immigration levels topping over a million and half a year will spike U.S. population to at least 400 million within the next 30 to 50 years.

Average immigration levels before 1965 hovered around 300,000 per annum. Yet approximately, 1,345,000 legal immigrants flooded our cities in 2002 alone.

Kennedy's 1965 bill made "family reunification" - including extended family members - the key criterion for eligibility. These new citizens have in turn sent for their families, creating an endless cycle known to sociologists as the immigration chain.

As immigrants pour in, native Americans - particularly Californians - feel themselves pushed out.

In 1965, Ted Kennedy falsely predicted, "No immigrant visa will be issued to a person who is likely to become a public charge."  However - thanks to Kennedy - immigrant refugees qualify for public assistance the minute upon setting foot on U.S. soil.

Back in 1965, liar Ted Kennedy also claimed his law (quote)..."will not cause American workers to lose their jobs... either the immigrant will remain unemployed, and become a public charge, or he will take a job that otherwise could have gone to a native American."

So now, with the media embracing the fallacious notion of "jobs Americans don't want" and excoriating white culture as "racist," the liberals have taken carte-blanche to deliberately flood the nation with illiterate, "non-white" people; seeking to "amnestize" them into a voting bloc, guaranteeing a future one-party oligarchy- ruled by liberal democrats.

The result? Groups from countries coming here just to capitalize on our economy , and could care less about assimilating to American culture and customs.

Today's clannish immigrants only want to multiply, then vote in their own "native" people -then someday "take over." And once they do, what will they have in common with the rest of America? Will they uphold the Constitution or American tradition - or even the rights of others?

Can one imagine a U.S.Supreme Court in 2025, with 3 or 4 Sandra Sotomayors?

And what about the ability of the United States to remain an environmental and economically viable nation? Ted Kennedy's immigration policies have fostered an ominous, unsustainable, population growth that has created water shortages in the West, and has knocked hundreds of thousands of Americans out of the middle class, as their occupations have declined; and wages collapsed.

This country now has more than 50 million natives of other countries - plus their children. In a country of 300 million, it bears an incredible "un-American" influence on every aspect of our political, social, and economic lives.

Oops- is it being racist to say that?

Ted Kennedy may have died, but he took the white majority- and much of traditional America -with him. He was born into a country almost 90% white. Yet his grandchildren will be minorities.

A thousand years from now, someone in China may write about..."The History of the Decline and Fall of American Civilization." And a long chapter could be devoted to our dearly-departed, cowardly lion of the Senate - Ted Kennedy - and how he started, faciltated, and engineered the entire debacle.
