Allright class...time to listen up! Today's discussion centers on morality: Is it ever okay to tell a white lie?
But while your pondering that, let's read over the following two stories, and see if we can discern which one sounds credible, and which was written by some phony liar:
STORY # 1:
WASHINGTON, Aug. 18, 2009 - Poll: CONFIDENCE IN HEALTH CARE DWINDLING
(AP) Americans' confidence about their health care future and access to care is dropping, particularly among older people, as debate grows more contentious over President Barack Obama's health overhaul agenda.
A monthly survey of consumer sentiment on health care issues shows that Americans' confidence in insurance coverage, affordability and access dropped more than 5 points in July, after having risen slightly in June.
Among seniors eligible for Medicare, the drop was even more striking - 10.4 points - suggesting the health care debate is raising alarm bells for older people. The survey was conducted even before coverage of raucous town hall meetings that highlighted public opposition to Mr. Obama's Democrats' health overhaul plans.
STORY # 2:
WASHINGTON 10/07/2009 - AP Poll: HEALTH CARE OVERHAUL HAS A PULSE
The fever has broken. The latest Associated Press-GfK poll has found that opposition to Obama's health care remake dropped dramatically in just a matter of weeks. Still, Americans remain divided over complex legislation that Democrats are advancing in Congress.
The public is split 40-40 on supporting or opposing the health care legislation, the poll found. An even split is welcome news for Democrats, a sharp improvement from September, when 49 percent of Americans said they opposed the congressional proposals and just 34 percent supported them.

QUESTION: Just how stupid does the Associated Press (i.e., the Whitehouse) think the American Public to be?
Evidently, REALLY stupid! Incredibly stupid!
Are we expected to think that between late August, and throughout September, public support for Obama's socialist takeover of the US medical establishment would suddenly rise, particularly among seniors - those the most adversely affected?
Who, but the most incredible of morons, could swallow such a fabrication?
Senior citizens are the most "viral" segment of America's population:
They play cards together. They are always on the phone with each other. They are in clubs together. They attend meetings at local libraries together. They eat breakfast at Denny's together; they meet after church at Bob Evans together.
And of course, they are always gossiping about the "latest" at McDonalds. And they all vote as a homogenous bloc.
So given that, imagine the talk amongst the fearful group: the elderly KNOW they're the ones who stand to lose from the evil Obama-care proposals, and are telling everyone in their circles to either try and stop it - or expect the WORST.
Hence, our good buddy at the Whitehouse, Rahm Emanuel - out of sheer arrogance (and desperation) - has turned to the pollsters at the Associated Press:
Scene: Rahm Emanuel calling the AP from his office in the Whitehouse
Emanuel: "Hey, we need a little more skin in the game; make us up a poll - we don't care how - that we can show to those Blue Dog jerks in the House, that illustrates they'll have a credible alibi to vote FOR the HR 3200 bill...so they can all relax about losing their seats! Got it?"
(He continues) "Yeah; you guys will ALL be taken care of next year after we pass the bill; but right now, things look iffy-iffy, so ya gotta come through for the President...Okay? Thanks guys!" (end)
Lord, spare us this evil! Even the Associated Press can no longer be trusted, who's stories are carried by EVERY newspaper in the United States!
Is not the Obama administration the most arrogant, the most desperate, the most evil, the most lying, the most vicious, and above all, the most anti-American gang of thugs to ever invade Washington? Is there ANY amongst them with even a hint of a conscience? Can they even stoop any lower?
We no longer have a free press! Everything we see, or hear, or read about in the news is now suspect - thanks to Obammunism!
And give 'em another 12 to 18 months, and they'll have succeeded in wiping out not only the economy, the workplace, our Constitution, the Supreme Court, the Bill of Rights, but even the very fabric of what it is to be an American- free to be LEFT ALONE by some all-encompassing, Big Brother federal government!
Americans are not stupid; we are not gullible; but how much more can we withstand?
We are now confronted by an historical aberration: an anti-Congress, AND, our anti-President, both waging a covert war against their own nation.
We must take counter-measures to stop the tyranny!
We still have freedom of the mail (but one day soon, Obama may attempt censorship via the Post Office).
1) write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper, expressing your outrage that the Associated Press would attempt such a fabrication; saying that you personally know few, if any, of those supporting Obama's health care reform.
ALSO remind the editor there are paid dupes, who indeed write letters upholding Obama's radically liberal policies; and that if you continue to see them, you will consider the paper "tainted", and shall no longer support the publication, and will advise all those whom you know to act in likewise manner.
2) write a letter to your Congressman/Congresswoman TODAY (or tonight); but mail it by no later than TOMORROW, lest Nancy Pelosi eventually garners enough votes in line (217) to pass HR 3200 (Obamacare)
These House desperadoes know if they can drag out the voting on healthcare, the more mainstream Americans tire of the issue, eventually dropping their guard.
Everyday of delay, it works to the democrats' advantage. They become even more Machiavellian - misleading Americans into going against their own self interest.
So write your letter now, convincing your rep that if they dare vote with Pelosi (and Obama), you will personally join with your local precinct captain, and work in EARNEST OPPOSITION against them; because you consider government interference in health care costly, un-American, socialist, and someday, when you get old, it will mean RATIONING.
Above all...be BLUNT, letting them know you're quite serious in opposing ANY changes in the current status quo:

I am outraged, nearly blinded by anger!
My local newspaper had the gall to print some phony AP article that claims support for Barack Obama's healthcare has "dramatically risen" in the last six weeks.
Am I supposed to be that naive? Who amongst us could possibly fathom the uncaring, wasteful federal government, being competent enough to manage my own personal well-being?
My doctor has been fantastic through the years. I have no intention of losing him, nor do I believe a word of what president Obama says about keeping my current insurance carrier, or that the goverrnment won't ever stand between my doctor and I, or that it won't effect the national debt.
If there is one thing I have learned in my lifetime, it's that anything that sounds too good to be true is ALWAYS a fake! So I believe that anyone who supports government health care is just that... a phony...a prevaricator...a con man; someone trying to pull a fast one.
President Obama says he wants to take his good old time to make up his mind on sending more troops to Afghanistan; while meanwhile, the ones remaining there are in jeopardy. Yet he insists that we must pass health care now; that it must be done immediately; that we can't wait any longer, etc.
So this is why I know he is not telling the truth. There is an ulterior motive somewhere, and I'm convinced its not for the benefit of myself, nor the American people.
So the choice is yours, Mr (Mrs) Congress-person: you can vote for the president, and against your constituents; or vice-versa. It's on your conscience, if you still have one.
Barack Obama can be very persuasive. But I know now that he, like his healthcare reforms, is too good to be true. And you too must surely realize that if you follow his call toward socialized medicine, it will be the beginning of the end of a free America, and the end of your political career as well.
I trust you will vote the best interests of the people.
