Obama (ala' Carter) turns the other cheek

1976-1980: The Carter years. It was when the Alaska pipeline opened; it marked the brief 4-year reign of the disco era. And it also marked a not so amazing run of some of the most ill-conceived and embarrassing presidential decisions in U.S. history.

It was in 1980 that the Haitians increased their desperate attempts in rowboats to make it to south Florida-- then disappear into the immigrant underground-- thus setting the precedent for the uncontrolled immigration that plagues our southern borders today.

1980 was also the year of the infamous Miami "Liberty City" riot, stoked by the exoneration of four white policemen who had killed a black insurance man riding a motorcycle. When President Carter visited the riot-torn area a few weeks later, the residents angrily booed him and threw rocks and bottles at his motorcade.

But mainly, 1980 was the year of Fidel Castro's great revenge on America:

After a bus carrying Cuban citizens intentionally crashed into the gates of the Peruvian Embassy in Havana, the passengers claimed asylum. Within days, 11,000 Cubans sought refuge at the Peruvian Embassy. President Carter announced that the U.S. would accept 3,500 refugees if they were first processed in Costa Rica.

Not to be outdone, Castro announced that any Cuban who wanted to leave could do so by boat through Mariel harbor.

Carter, feeling empowered, foolishly proclaimed: "We welcome the Cubans with an open heart and open arms!" The result? It was the 'Mariel Boatlift,' that eventually brought 150,000 "happy-go-lucky" Cubans to Florida, most of them the dregs of society.

Unbeknownst to the naive Carter, his open arms-open borders policy proved disastrous (and to this day its effects are being felt).

It provided the Cubans a welcome relief valve for all their prisons, insane asylums and the wandering homeless, as Castro opened the doors to his most desperate criminals and lethal felons, bidding them..."adios" -"see ya"--"don't forget to write!"

Then the "law of inintended consequences" (the result of Carter's naive liberalism) took hold.

By the reckoning of Lieutenant Mike Gonzalez, who back then was the head of  Miami Police's homicide bureau, ''In that one year (1980), we got 50,000 additional killers and thieves.''

The effect of the so called "Mariel invasion" can be told in the statistics. In the first half of 1980, Miami had 75 murders. Then in the last seven months, there were 269 murders. In 1980-81, Miami had the highest murder rate of any city in the world! So many bodies piled up in the morgue that the Dade county coroner had to rent a refrigerator van to handle the overflow.

The Marielitos had indeed made quite a splash.

Of course back then, Carter "doggedly" chose to stick to his liberal dogma of equality and human rights, which had already led to the overthrow of the Shah, and cascaded into 444 humiliating days of America's bowing to Iran during the hostage crisis.

But liberals never learn; they always put idealism ahead of patriotism... and sanity itself.

And Carter's record was unblemished...he batted "1,000". Throughout his presidency, he was liberal putty in the hands of Torrios from Panama, Khomeni from Iran, Breshnev from Russia, and finally Castro--always giving our enemies the benefit of the doubt-- and receiving a foreign policy black eye in return for the favor.

And the icing on the cake was unleashing the Marielitos upon an unsuspecting America, who wreaked their murderous havoc upon every city where their nationwide migratory path descended.

And who was it that said history repeats? Now 3 decades later, the parallels are eerie, almost uncanny in resemblance. And once again the problem concerns Cuba.

Barack Obama now faces many of the same sort of radical Islamist problems that Carter did, but has thus far demonstrated no concrete capacity to govern within the best interests of the nation, because it's that same liberal compulsion-- to be fair-- that's paramount in his mind.

And like Carter, will he unleash another callous group of unscrupulous killers upon us--who's sworn objective is their jihadistic exhortation: "Death to Satan America?"

But according to a spokesmen in the Obama administration: "Promptly determining the appropriate disposition of those detained at Guantanamo Bay is a high priority for the president."

Attorney General Eric Holder has submitted a legal declaration outlining President Barack Obama's efforts to close Guantanamo Bay within a year, and "determine" where to place the 240 people held there.

Translation: "We think releasing these "freedom fighters" will look good before the eyes of the world".

In his brief, Holder maintains... "It is still unlawful to hold people indefinitely without charge. The men who have been held for more than seven years by our government must be charged or released."

Translation: We're gonna let these terrorists slide, because to hold them "without charge" would be a violation of their human rights.

Obama (in his best Carter imitation ) seems to be saying, "So we welcome to America all you terrorists with open arms; what can we do to make you more comfortable?"

And as Carter disastrously once beckoned the Marielitos, Obama, in closing a facility harboring some of the most murderous psychopaths on the planet--without first knowing what he's going to do with them-- seems to be courting déjà vu.

Is Obama inviting another Marielito-style debacle? In an obvious bowing to the left, it was his decision to close Guantanamo in the first place.

And while we're at, let’s do it "right", and go way-way far left! Why not invite the head honcho--Osama bin Ladin himself --to the White House in an "outreach to the enemy" gesture? Put down new prayer rugs in the East Room. Invite him to stay overnight in the Lincoln bedroom.

And in a "further outreach", why not also invite all the soon-to-be freed Gitmo "ex combatants" to the White House, like a victorious world champion sports team? After all, according to anti-President Obama, these were the people who were captured and victimized by our racist, imperialist, and oppressive invading American soldiers, and who were unjustly captured and held against their will, and had to suffer everyday in Gitmo with three square meals, library, exercise courts, and endure the warm, breezy, subtropical climate-- and were provided the freedom to practice their Muslim religion--and secretly plot the demise of the USA (in their cold-blooded minds) upon release.

So Obama is giving them their wish and will have his attorney general grant them all hearings. And the ACLU will defend them in court.

Yes we can! We will turn the other cheek.

And what this all (in effect) amounts to is a tacit "declaration of abandonment" of our own soldiers, who's buddies were those attacked and killed by these same people, and who heroically risked their lives to capture and imprison these Islamist desperados in the first place.

So it's high time we apologized and "made up for it", and hope the rest of the world gets the "Everybody is supposed to love us now" memo.

And ironically, bolstered by a supremely stupid decision by our leftist-leaning Supreme Court, this whole filthy mess could have been avoided were it not for a 5-4 decision by the treasonous judicists who voted for the legal rights of these radicals. Maybe now they'll help them to get jobs in the Obama administration.

Yes-- it's all in the name of "detente" with the Muslim world, as we eliminate the term, "war on terror", and replace it with a Carter-esque policy of appeasement.

Like they say: "Carter' was so devoted to peace, that he risked a big war." And Obama seems to be following the script.

And by inviting bin Ladin into the Whitehouse, maybe Obama could bypass the war with the Taliban, withdraw from Afghanistan, and resolve the nuke problem with Iran. And who knows? Maybe Hamas might switch to launching peace feelers instead of rockets at the Israelis!

Who are our major enemies in the Middle East? Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas. What are we doing about it? Be nice!  And by making nice to our enemies now as Carter once attempted to do, surely all the nice Muslims will return the favor.

And now let us all "outreach" to the enemy and close with the Obama creed:

I am Obama, champion of the meek;
Attack America, and I will turn the other cheek.
We will appease rather than take a stand;
while I transform America into a socialist land.
Long live Karl Marx and John Maynard Keynes;
as I uproot the Constitution, and reinterpret what it means.

The "Judas syndrome"...why liberals love to betray America

Ah the paradox that is Barack Obama:

He has stubbornly refused to acknowledge the triumph of the 2007 surge in Iraq, but is now calling for an "instant replay' of that wildly successful strategy in Afghanistan... (quote) “There may be some comparable opportunities in the region," Mr. Obama said.

So he has decided to employ his "outreach" strategy and write a love letter to the 'moderates' in Taliban-land. Too bad it wasn’t a month earlier. Mr. Obama would have been able to include a valentine card.

Now all of a sudden, we’re to kiss and make up-- forget that the Taliban has been providing Osama bin Ladin with safe harbor, and that the Taliban professes to be perhaps the hardest of the hard core factions of any Muslim extremist group that exists. So no moderates need apply.

Of course liberals are always doing paradoxical things to surrender to the enemy. They would rather appease than take a stand. And appeasement is provocative--it invites attack. And time and time again, history has proved it.

Remember that long forgotten organization, "America First"? America First-ers were the group that ran Wendell Wilkie as their anti-war candidate vs. Franklin Roosevelt in the 1940 election.

This once-influential leftist group, headed by Charles Lindberg as its unofficial spokesman, sought to appease and surrender to a sworn enemy of America ---the Nazis! They were hard-core isolationists-- vehemently opposed to any involvement with the goings-on in Europe in the late 1930's.

When the war clouds were gathering back then, it was Lindberg who unilaterally took it upon himself to send out "peace feelers" to Germany. He had arranged an audience with Herman Goering, the ever-pompous and arrogant chief of the Nazi Luftwaffe (air force).

Goering decide to make a pigeon of the naive Lindberg, and "revealed" to him fake plans of "experimental" German planes, such as a six-engined massive German bomber, with a 6000 mile range, supposedly capable of bombing America's Eastern coast, and then return safely to the Fatherland.

Lindberg meekly returned home with grave reports of Nazi military superiority --that the U.S. could never catch up-- and that America must at all costs avoid the coming war in Europe, should it occur.

Yes, like a liberal deer in the headlights, Charles Lindberg was blinded by fears of Hitler's supposed invincibility. And like Neville Chamberlain, he had in as much declared "peace through weakness". And reports of America First's near-treasonous activities in the United States that had filtered back to Germany, proved to be instrumental in Hitler's surprise declaration of war on America three days after Pearl Harbor

Which brings us to England's capitulation to Hitler in1938.

Neville Chamberlain was your classic liberal appeaser. He had served as British Minister of Health from 1924 to 1929. After he become Prime Minister in1937, he too surmised Hitler as invincible, and called for an appeasement foreign policy, culminating in the signing of the infamous Munich Pact in 1938, selling out Czechoslovakia to Germany, and along with that --the Skoda Works.

The Munich pact enabled Hitler to realize his most coveted European objective-- Czechoslovakia's famed Skoda Works. It was the worlds largest armaments factory; it produced heavy guns for the Nazi navy; heavy mortars and the fearsome M-42 machine guns for the Wermacht (German army), as well as locomotives, aircraft, ships, machine tools, steam turbines, and equipment for Germany's power utilities.

The Skoda Works gave Hitler and the Nazis their amazing armament capability to literally take on the entire world, and hold them at bay for the first four years of the war.

Nice job, Nev.

And the world will never forget (or forgive) Chamberlain for his calamitous "containment" policy of Germany, that in 1939, culminated in the official declaration of the Second World War.

Even after WW2, the liberals were at it again, working their devilish best to capitulate to America’s enemies. This time it was Julius and Ethel Rosenberg—America’s favorite historical couple.

The Rosenbergs--who were the duo complicit in passing our original atomic bomb secrets to the Soviets between 45-47-- arguably could be stated as the cause that emboldened Stalin to close off 1948 Berlin, because he now held an equal hand in weaponry. Thus Stalin attempted to squeeze the Allies out of East Germany, thanks to the dastardly liberal deeds of Julie and Ethel Rosenberg. But Truman's famed Berlin airlift foiled everything.

Next on the liberal “most-wanted” list was Alger Hiss, who viewed spying against his home country as little more than ‘youthful  idealism', and who would be convicted of a only a minor charge (lying under oath)  for the small infraction of surrendering America's hydrogen bomb secrets to Russia, and prolonging and escalating the cold war for another 35 years!

Arguably, the damage from Hiss changed the course of world events (for the worse) more than any other individual in American history.

And were it not for the ultra rightist, Senator Joe McCarthy, who knows how many more communist sympathizers could have been organized into a faction and possibly seized control of the democratic party, just as the liberal leftists in congress have done today.

If it hadn’t been for McCarthy, there may have been no John F. Kennedy as president, but instead a radical democratic socialist candidate (ala’ Obama) opposing Richard Nixon in1960. And after the leftist attitudes from the Vietnam era in late 60's had taken hold, this ultimately led up to the election of another liberal apologist-- Jimmy peanut-farmer Carter.

For many years after World War II, the U.S. intelligence forces had done their job well. The CIA had succeeded in stalemating the KGB during the early Cold War years .But then came the election of Jimmie Carter in 1976, and the rise of Senator Frank Church.

Carter, like all liberals, believed in being "fair". On September 7, 1977, President Jimmy Carter signed a Treaty with Panama 's strong man, Omar Torrijos, to transfer the Panama Canal to Panama, and it became one of the most heated treaties ever debated in the Senate. With a two vote margin, the transfer agreement was passed in 1978, thanks to the Senate lobbying of Frank Church.

And presently, our good friends the Chinese are seeking to aggressively expand in the isthmus country, and already own a major interest in port operations on the east and west sides of the canal. So in the event of war, the U.S. navy might be cut off from reaching our east and west coasts.

But Panama was but the least of Carter’s disastrous liberal legacy.

1977 also can be noted as when Carter made one of the most ill-conceived presidential decisions of all time: He issued an executive order that placed all nine U.S. intelligence agencies under one man: CIA Director Stansfield Turner; and If anyone wishes to seek the origin of the 9-11 attack, a good place to start would be right here.

In October of 1977, Turner decided to curb many of the clandestine practices that had brought the CIA much of its criticism from the liberal members in Congress, which were led by Idaho Senator Frank Church. In the" Halloween Massacre" of '77, Turner circulated an Oct 31st photocopied memo informing 800 CIA staffers (mostly Republicans) of their dismissal. To the joy and disbelief of our enemies, word spread quickly around the spy community that the U.S. had decided to delegate its intelligence priorities to non-human means, such as satellite observations and listening posts.

It has been noted by many historians that..."Stansfield Turner has been the single worst senior appointment in US history... and..."In eliminating virtually all human intelligence on the ground, he put the  U.S. at a strong disadvantage, especially in the Middle East and Afghanistan."

Now 32 years later, can any one dispute this most-scathing of historical criticisms?

Whatever his intentions, what Carter (and Turner) accomplished amounted to aiding and abetting the enemy, which resulted in our humiliation in Iran in the 1979 hostage crisis, the Russian war in Afghanistan in1980, and the bombing of our marines’ barracks in Lebanon in1982

And thanks to the liberal insanity of Jimmy Carter's dismantling of the CIA, we’ve lost control of our destiny in the Middle East-- giving impetus to the revival of Islamic fundamentalism-- which ultimately gave rise upon the world's stage to all of Islam's most infamous stars...Khomieni, Arafat, bin-Laden, Akmadinejad, and untold others -- including the 20 airliner hijackers who were responsible for 9-11.

Yes; the liberals--upholding the biblical inspiration of Judas--have always been seeking ways to betray the one who’s been good to them…their homeland—the United states of America!

And next in line to wear the mantle of  betrayal was another leftist America-hater, the convicted spy, John Walker, who  sold top-secret classified Pentagon information to the Soviets for 18 years. Among the secrets were keycodes being used by American ground troops fighting in Vietnam , and details about the Navy's most sophisticated nuclear submarines.

Since 1969, Walker had worked as a radio operator on a Navy supply ship (a job that gave him easy access to Pentagon keylists). And had the Cold War ever escalated to the real thing, the Soviets, knowing the locations of all American nuke subs, would have been able to destroy them all within days.

But what if there had not been any bleeding heart liberals around during the20th century? Had Lindberg and Chamberlain not been the men of their time, there may have been a European war… but a World War II?  And had it not been for the Rosenbergs and Alger Hiss, would there have been the 40-year Cold War? And were it not for John Walker, the latter half of the Vietnam war could have taken an entirely different course-- the United states may have actually triumphed by the early 70s.

And of course without Carter in the Whitehouse in 76-80, who knows?  The entire mess in the Middle East, culminating in 9-11 may never have taken place.

But through out our history, whenever liberals have had their chance to deliver a black eye to their homeland, they're of the mindset..."There! That's what you deserve...you racist, bullying, militaristic, imperialist, expansionist, United States of America!”

The point is, liberals ALWAYS want to give our enemies the benefit of the doubt, figuring that even if they ARE liars, America (in the parlance of Michelle Obama) is a downright mean, racist country, and deserves not her status as a free prosperous nation, because it was built upon the backs of "oppressed” people, and foreign, "jingoistic" imperialism.

And to make a counterpoint: In modern American history, has a conservative ever been known to be a traitor to America 's best interests, either at home or abroad? Is liberalism some kind of insidious cultural disease? Or are certain individuals born with it-- an organic physiological affliction-- a sort of “left” brain vs. ”right” brain type of thinking?

Only God knows for sure.

But with the situation America faces on the foreign front, and with a Marxist-socailist anti-president running things on the homefront, America will need God's help more than ever to get us out of this one.

The Afghan theater may prove to be a horror movie for Obama

Here we go again; more interventionist death-dealing, this time brought to you by that die-hard opponent of unnecessary wars, Barack Obama. The war in Afghanistan is all but lost, and will be no less lost with the processing of more American lives though this Muslim extremist meatgrinder.

But our new president, perhaps in fulfillment of his campaign promise (or for God only knows whatever reason), has decided to play a dangerous game of switcheroo with the lives of our Americans soldiers.

Mr.Obama is ready to add up to 30,000 troops into Afghanistan over the next two years, a near doubling of the current American force there of about 31,000.

The outlines of the military plan for Iraq, presented to Mr. Obama in December, envisioned withdrawing of only two brigades, or some 7,000 to 8,000 troops over the next six months. But now military commanders are drawing up renewed plans for a faster withdrawal of American troops, in anticipation that President Obama will reject current proposals as 'too slow'.

But why, all of a sudden has Mr. Obama decided to get antsy about Afghanistan?. What is pertinent here, (and may be already becoming apparent) is Mr. Obama's complete lack of military knowledge, and the frightening thought of him playing general without any battlefield experience. And now is not the time to play political maestro in such a dangerous theater of war.

War in Afghanistan is a pointless war. If Russia were there for almost 10 years with no victory strategy, then what makes Obama think we can do any better?. Osama Bin Laden may be there, but who really knows for sure where he is? And with all our great intelligence, why haven't we caught him by now?

And what is there to gain there? Does it actually affect us one way or the other whether the warlords or the Taliban run that godforsaken country? Unlike Iraq, There are no geopolitical gains to be made there, unless the U.S. wants to wrest control of the poppy seed industry.

This Afghan war expansion is remarkably parallel to the beginning of the JFK administration. A newly-elected Mr. Kennedy, anxious to prove his toughness, was suckered by the Pentagon into entering an endless guerrilla war in Vietnam on a terrain that was not favorable to a conventional military power.  And is this expansion not a chilling deja' vu similarity?

But not surprisingly, Mr. Obama has yet to make clear his overall goals beyond calling for more forces, money and diplomacy in an increasingly violent, ungovernable country. Obama inherits the biggest financial crisis since the 30's, so can anyone give a rational explanation as to why he would want to drain the treasury further with billions for an escalated war in Afghanistan?

Is Obama playing war games just for the sake of pleasing his left? Why fire up Afghanistan before the job in Iraq is finished? Does Obama play chess with our troops just to appear as though "he's the military man" in deference to his critics on the right? This is a troublesome thought indeed.

Senior military officers have expressed uneasiness about a quick withdrawal from Iraq ,and are unclear at this point about Mr. Obama’s overall strategy. This begs the question ...Mr Obama, what's goin' on? Do you yourself even have any idea?

If he isn't careful (or prudent), escalating the Afghan theater may prove to be a horror movie for Obama far worse than the Iraq war was for Bush. And one cannot ignore the obvious camparisons of the two presidents, neither of which ever experienced the fright of combat, acting like it's some sort of adventure; when in reality, any veteran will always tell you; war is hell!

And Afghanistan is an unwinnable hell hole that will make Vietnam look tame in comparison.

Perhaps it's time for President Obama to have our soldiers on his mind instead of playing war games. Our American soldiers could be guarding OUR southwestern borders, patrolling our coasts, and actually defending us from terrorist attacks-- instead of dying halfway around the world while trying to impose American-style democracy on some lawless Muslim country.

Violence has reached record levels this year, and Afghanistan is now considered a deadlier battlefield than Iraq, where the Taliban have the "home field" advantage.

And what of the numbers? Obama's surge of 30,000 troops--into a country the size of Texas, with hostile tribes and warlords lurking in every province-- is a mere military spit in the ocean. Even 130, 0000 would be inviting only a longer war of attrition, similar to the Vietnam fiasco.

As of now, it cannot be ignored-- the parallels between 'Nam and Afghanistan are starkly evident. More buildup is like pouring money down a rat hole, with no apparent strategy of how to win. It is much more than a question of how fast you can add troops; it includes calculating how much risk you are willing to take, with no apparent goal other than, what---killing the enemy?

This Afghan war he wants to escalate is both culturally, politically, and militarily unwinnable.

But Obama chooses to play professor backwards. He's abandoning completion of the already-won war in Iraq for political reasons, and chooses to fight the unwinnable one in Afghanistan for the vague possibility of hunting down Bin Laden.

But finding Bin-Ladin will be like finding the cure for cancer: we know he's out there, but where should we look? Osama fought the Russians for a decade in Afghanistan as a Mujahadi freedom fighter, and knows of thousands of secret hiding places. And the man seems immune from betrayal.

Unlike Iraq, the Afghan terrain is like fighting on the moon--forbidding, and it nullifies all possible U.S. advantages such as armor, or the fast mobility of the humvees.
The U.S. soldiers, exposed down below on narrow mountain passages, have no place to hide , while the enemy above remains invisible. Classic military flanking maneuvers have little chance of success.

If Obama had the analytical experience of a war veteran commander in chief, he'd realize that the best way to escalate would be not more ground forces, but adding more air forces-- the drones, always hovering menacingly  from above. These are the only way to countermand the height advantage of the enemy Taliban fighters, who know every square inch of the battle terrain.

But with vast new numbers of airborne spy drones patrolling, the Taliban would be forced to stay in perpetual cover, and give a huge strategic advantage over to our guys on the ground. "Death from above" would be a constant threat to the enemy and would save American troops the risk of-search and destroy missions through unfamiliar terrain.

And while were talking strategy, how’s this for a tactic--night vision goggles! Why not use the one technological advantage that could really checkmate the enemy? If the U.S. was the only side who wore them and only moved at night--- then why not do it? The Taliban would be faced with hiding by day from the drones, and forced to keep a defensive posture at night from Americans who can see them, but remain nearly invisible by night themselves.

The Afghan theatre is the total opposite of the Iraqi urban conflict.  Political settlement in Afghanistan is the only possible victory, because once troops are withdrawn, the same problem emerges: the Taliban snakes will slither again out from under their rocks, and resume their bullying posture of religious extremism.

Obama should understand that the history of Afghanistan is unique;  the expansive countryside is so geographically isolated by mountains, it is a land of a thousand territories. There can be no lasting military victory

President Obama is going to inherit the problem the Russians had roughly 25 years ago during the Soviet jihad. You cannot tame the people in this craggy, hostile country where the only rule of law is the bribe given to each of the thousand of local warlords that change sides accordingly.

.

But Obama must make good his political promises. And so, next January 21, he will huff and puff mightily away in his inaugural speech..."We will kill bin Laden. We will crush al Qaeda. That has to be our biggest national security priority,"

Yes, and in so doing, thousands of additional American troops are likely to perish, far more  than the 4,000 American casualties suffered in Iraq. But at least we're about to become victorious there, while Afghanistan, by all accounts of history, is unwinnable.

No nation has ever brought the Afghanis to their knees.

From Alexander the Great in 338 B.C. to the USSR in 1980, Afghanistan is always the 'invaders' graveyard.

And Obama is only fooling himself  to think the U.S. is an exception.

Barack Obama...politician to be feared; or statesman to be cheered?

Many media writers native to the Chicago area can tell you all about the true politics of Barack Obama. The problem is, since their reports (often highly derogatory in tone) were NEVER picked up by ANY of the national media outlets, Obama managed to ascend to the oval office as the most unknown, unvetted, and mystery-man president-elect of all time.

Just how clever of a politician is Barack Obama? Probably the most clever EVER in America. Examine the phrases of his "acceptance" speech at Grant Park after his victory was announced after the California polls closed. The underlying tone was subliminal... it was artfully disguised as a re-election speech! Each phrase was worded carefully to evoke a certain emotion, but convey a subconscious message..."I might not do too good for awhile, but the mess I inherited from Bush merits me another term".

So was Barack actually planting the seeds for his 2nd administration when he told the election night crowd that ..."the road ahead will be long...our climb will be steep...(here he evokes the intonations of Martin Luther King)...we may not get there in even one year...or even in one term...?"

REPEAT..."we may not get there in one year... or EVEN ONE TERM"

Thats right: ole Barack-O has already set us up for the kill...he may not be able to impose a socialist neo-marxist regime on us in 4 years, but 8 will surely do the trick.

Of course, Obama has made a profession of always seeking his next highest office, (or his next term) while giving short shrift to the task at hand. This accounts for his political claim to fame --voting "present" in record numbers-- and never taking sides.

When he became an Illinois state senator, he was already planning a run for the U.S. senate. And as a U.S. Senator, he had served nary more than a year than he was already announcing he would seek the presidency,

Obviously, after his second term has lapsed, he will probably appoint himself U.N. Secretary-General, and after already having established the U.S. treasury as his worldwide finance arm (via the Global Poverty Act he will get passed), he'll then become the defacto president of the world.

And after that, then what’s next, Mr Obama? Command the world to conquer the outer reaches of space? Then become 'vice admiral of the solar system?' The ambition of Obama knows no bounds!

Now for ALL those who beg to differ, look at the "Machiavellian" motives to be found within every accomplishment of Barack Obama: Machiavelli says, in his 15th century discourse, "THE PRINCE": (quote:) "the only real concern of the political ruler is the acquisition and MAINTENANCE of power... a ruler is best suited for office who is capable of varying her/his conduct from good to evil, and back again, as fortune and circumstances dictate..."

This is indeed enlightening: Machiavelli professed that the absence of morality is necessary to maintain power. In lawyers parlance, it's defined as "situational ethics". And it precisely defines the crafty election campaign run by Mr. Obama: change your positions as the political situation merits... put on a different face for every gathering while campaigning; and after elected-- boom!...drop your cold-blooded hammer of absolute power. Does that sound like blueprint Barack Obama or what?

If all this analysis rings a little too harsh, then read on brother Obama sympathizer, because America is about to discover that he has sympathy only for his own Marxist cause--the maintenance of power by any means necessary.

Yes America: the evidence is out there. But it's not to be found in the media-controlled court of public opinion. It's  not to be found in the so-called "landslide election results", and it's not to be found around the water coolers of our offices, nor at the kitchen tables of our homes. All opinions of Obama can be (and should be) based on those very words he spoke in his acceptance speech..."the road will be long...our climb will be steep...we may not get there in ONE TERM". Those are the words that define the true colors of Barack Obama...the great Manipulator!

Obama spoke of a "steep climb" that he will inherit-- the two middle East wars. Oh yes O Chosen One Barack, let's pour on the empathy for your Herculean task at hand...especially when you plan on abandoning all we have accomplished in Iraq, just for the sake of adding another $10 billion of monthly revenue to implement your socialism; and all the while, the media speaks not of the 4,000 lives that will, in effect, have been sacrificed in vain for your political gain...and little else.

But with the media on Obama's side, public opinion flows that same way as Obama's river of anti Bush rhetoric. He has done well in creating a common enemy (George Bush) to distract the masses from his own shortcomings.

However, the terrible irony of the Bush-fabricated Iraqi war is, that by the sheer will of our brave combat soldiers, the once thought unwinnable conflict has been WON. George Bush, for all his deceit, may eventually be proved right about Iraq by the historians.

Right now, there is a huge peace dividend (that we are about to forfeit) from new-found domestic tranquility in Iraq. But the real story continues to go unreported by the pro-liberal media: Iraq has been Americanized in the last 6 years! But most Americans know nothing of this coming peace dividend, thanks to Obama and his media cohorts. They have concealed the true situation that is about to unfold there.

Today, the Iraqi people depend on the American dollars that have circulated freely through their economy in the last 6 years. The U.S. has been airlifting millions of dollars from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York into Baghdad to pay Iraqi workers (the Awakening) with American currency; and the Iraqis now shun the discredited dinar, in favor of the U.S. twenty dollar bill. The entire economy, with trillions of dollars of untapped oil resources available, is poised for a historic rebound!

And apparently, the Gekko theory, "greed is good", applies universally; the cessation of sectarian hostilities and the dramatic improvements in security, have attracted foreign developers worldwide to Iraq with big dollar signs in their eyes.

At the recently dismantled 80-acre military base at Rashid, a massive 5 billion dollar development has already attracted 16 foreign bids. This will include a
state-of-the-art hospital, apartment complexes, hotels, shopping centers, and a sport stadium. Sport stadiums? Apparently, the Iraqis are planning on some long term stability, and they have the oil money to spark the planned westernization of their country.

Obama is aware of this impending peace dividend; but ironically, after he abandons Iraq (because of his political debt to the left), and instabilty returns, all bets for the planned  economic development are off. And future historians will probably shake their heads in aghast as to why the U.S. fought hard for 8 years, and then essentially chose to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory-- all for the political expediency of Barack Obama.

Obama has been labled inexperienced in foreign policy...and you can add to that, ignorant of history. The Afghan war he wants to fight is both culturally, politically, and militarily unwinnable.

But Obama is like Irwin Corey..."professor backwards" of early television comedy fame. He abandons the winnable war on economic reasons... and fights the unwinnable one for political merit-- killing Osama. But finding Bin-Ladin will be like finding the cure for cancer: we know it's out there, but where should we look?

Osama fought the Russians for a decade in Afghanistan as a Mujahadi freedom fighter, and knows the cavernous territory well. He has literally thousands of secret hiding places, and moves from each as the situation merits.

The Afghan territory is 95% mountains... all offensive wars there are doomed to failure. Short of dropping the nuclear, what chance does an American soldier have while slowly ascending a narrow, v-shaped, perilous rocky path up a steep, booby-trapped trail? And all the while, be openly at the risk of fire from ABOVE. Note that word 'above'. The U.S. soldiers exposed down below have no place to hide , while the enemy above remains invisible. Flanking maneuvers have little chance of success from below.

The Afghan theatre is the total opposite of an urban or jungle war, like Iraq or 'Nam. No cover exists. No 'surge' will succeed. Political settlement in Afghanistan is the only possible victory, because once troops are withdrawn, the same problem emerges: the Taliban snakes will slither again out from under their rocks, and resume their religious extreme-ism and terror.

Obama MUST understand that the history of Afghanistan is unique;  the Texas-sized country is so geographically isolated by mountains, it is a land of a thousand territories. There can be no lasting rule of law by one political leader. It's a country ruled by local warlords. For the U.S. to prevail unconditionally would require the impossible: politically appeasing a changing dynastic tribal flow of Muslim warlords, who by philosophy, oppose America (the Great Satan) on religious grounds.

In 1812, the British tried to replace Dost Muhammad with a former pro-British emir, and subordinate Afghanistan to their central Asian expansionism. This policy eventually caused the first Afghan War (1838–42) between the British and the Afghans. The British were humiliated.

But In 1878, the British launched their second war. And for the second time, the Afghans’ spirited resistance caused the British to withdraw completely. The Soviet Union suffered the same fate a century later, and total withdrawal by the Soviets occurred on Feb. 15, 1989, after nearly a decade of futility and huge military losses. No offensive war in the country can ever succeed because the element of surprise is not possible-- the Afghans always fight from the high ground. Helicopters are the primary offensive weapon of choice, but these can easily be felled by fire from well-hidden emplacements.

Now examine U.S. military history: the longest battle of the Civil War was Vicksburg. Grant first placed his Union troops BELOW the Confederate fortress city, high on a bluff, in June 1863; and the city surrendered on July 4 1864. It was a long, brutal campaign that resulted in 21,000 lives being lost, and branded General Grant with the tag of "butcher".

The costly, lengthy 1944 Italian campaign of Monte Cassino is another World War II example of trying to capture the high ground from assault down below. Assaults require the element of surprise, which is not possible with the enemy above you. For months the American troops and British attacked the mountain fortress from both flanks, but were repulsed every time by the machine gun and mortars of vastly inferior (in numbers) German troops. Then only after a huge carpet bombing, and a  determined attack by imported Australian Ranger special forces troops, did the Allies finally capture the top of the mountain; but were then confronted by another force of entrenched Germans in the rubble of the bombed out town.

The entire battle was not only one the costliest in terms of casualties per capita, but the victory turned out to be irrelevant to the outcome of the war, because the Allies had invaded France, thus opening a second front.

So why cannot our great president-elect take a cue from our history, and realize that Afghanistan will be another military exercise in futility? But Obama must make good his political promises, and so next January 21, he will huff and puff mightily away in his State of the Union speech..."I was against Iraq from the start"...."we should have gone after Osama back then"..."I will now track him down in his cave"..."I am the mighty commander in chief"...."I have the judgment it takes to guide"...blah blah, etc.

But o holy Barack-- man of UTMOST intelligence-- if you really are so brilliant, why don't you take advantage of your hallowed skills at negotiation, and take the statesman's approach to the problem? Why not seek the diplomatic-cultural solution to capturing Osama ? Use your hallowed powers of oration and motivation to move the Afghan and Pakistani nations and unite us all toward a common enemy-- the dastardly Taliban terrorists who harbor al Qaida.

If Obama had any real resourcefulness in foreign policy and judgment, as he so often proclaimed in the debates, he could employ his skills to portray the Afghan settlement as in the best interests of not just the U.S. but also, for both the Afghani people, and PAK-istan ( not pukky-stan, as Obama keeps mispronouncing it, conceitedly). But Barack Obama thinks he's too cool for school.

Obama comes from the school of thought that says: why be a statesman? Prolonging a long Afghan fight will give me a new presidential cause-celebre, especially now that the "hate George Bush dividend" has expired.

Obama wants to maintain his popularity by re-incarnating an old common enemy...Bin Laden: it will distract the people from his ineptness at economic policy, because he can blame Bush and trickle-down Reganomics for only so long.

But in the eyes of the Afghans and Pakistanis, his escalating of the Afghan war will put him in the same light as the aggressor Bush-- an infidel invader! But Obama is unaware of the trap he's about to spring upon himself and our country ...a prolonged useless war, that will gain zero-- either militarily or politically-- and will only be seen as more American imperialism, bullying, satanism, etc. in Islamic circles worldwide; and they will take sides against the U.S. once again.

But what if Obama were to take the 'conciliatory' approach? He could pursue the Afghan situation in a way that best suits his style...as a leader on the world stage: Barack Obama-- the world stateman! He could set the scene...a rock-star style setting in Peshawar; flanked by the secretary of the UN, and Afghani president Karzai.

scene: Obama in northwestern Pakistan, addressing a gigantic crowd...

Obama: "People of Pashtun descent everywhere: I have decided to declare the cause of America as your cause also. The United States seeks not to make war on the Afghan people. We seek no hostility with the great people of Pakistan. We only seek that be done which is moral...the deliverance of justice to Osama bin Laden. We curry no favor with the Taliband, who are his instrument of protection".

"But what good does it serve your countries to oppose our mission? If someone attacks your land, you must seek reprisal and justice, lest you encourage them to attack you again. Therefore, we invoke your honest cooperation in helping us complete this mission".

"America is not your enemy, nor are we hostile to any other of the the Islamic countries: we seek only to defend ourselves from al Quida and the other tyrants who would cowardly attack us . We oppose only their treachery, which violates the peace. We do not seek the territory nor the resources of the Islamic countries. We removed the tyrant Hussein, and rebuilt Iraq, using only American money. And we expropriated not a drop of their oil, nor a square foot of their sacred land. We instilled a culture of peace upon a society of religious factions , and illustrated the benefits for lives newly-freed from tyranny.

Now our final mission is to capture Bin laden and try him in the world court of justice, before the eyes of the world.  We would rather help the people of your countries economically, rather than expend our resources and human capital in another prolonged war.

We wish to only to bring peace to your region. People of Pashtun-- look at yourselves! America can improve your lives in the way we have done to the Iraqis! Have we seized their oil fields?... have we expropriated their land?...have we imprisoned their people? America was not the aggressor in Iraq for selfish reasons. And once we capture Bin laden with your invaluable co-operation, we can bring the same stability to this part of the world as we did in Iraq.

But we could not have succeeded in Iraq without the Great Awakening. Once al Quida was found out to be a common enemy, the Iraqi people rose up in righteous indignation, and helped us repel the true invaders. We now propose to use this as a blue print, because it will succeed here as well!

People of all Pashtun descent: Once we all have repelled the al Quida operatives, it will bring newfound stability to your sacred holy territories; it will set the stage for the improvement of the lives of all, because the benefits of peace know no bounds.  But the benefits of war are only that of boundless misery.

So let us all unite in unison under the common flag of peace-seekers: we shall all combine together to remove all terror and tyranny from the world community...and may God and Allah bless everyone, and unite us all in achieving our objective for the sake of all people everywhere across the entire world! (thunderous applause and cheering).

Well Mr Obama; here's hoping that after you take the oval office, you'll swear off the political motives and take up the real issue at hand-- relief for our soldiers... peace for our war weary country... peace in the Middle East, and peace on earth everywhere, where conflict exists.

You are the only who possesses the unique talent, ability, and the idealistic zeal that the all the world finds irresistible about you, and redeemable about America. So why not use it to create your own unique contribution: we'll call it the Barack dividend. But you are the one who must take on this role and assume your place in history.

So now, we all pray that you see the light, choose America first, and place your countrymen first, because the whole world is watching, and anxiously waiting.
