Forget the nukes- oil will become Iran's "killer" weapon

Flashback: 36 years ago-- October, 1973. The "Yom Kipper" Arab-Isreali war breaks out. The OPEC nations -- retaliating against the U.S. for its support of Israel-- quadruple world oil prices to 12 dollars/ barrel, having declared an embargo upon all overseas deliveries to American ports.

Overnight, gas rocketed from 34.9 to 55.9 cents a gallon. Gasoline stations couldn't get deliveries. Purchases were limited to 10 gallons. Americans experienced their first bitter taste of gas lines. Everyone began selling their beloved, tire-scorching, premium-gas-guzzling muscle cars for "economy" vehicles.

The US-- caught flatfooted-- had become vulnerable to imported oil prices for the FIRST time, a preview of things to come.

Between 1971 to1973, the U.S had already begun importing nearly 40% of its oil-- all of it from OPEC. America then entered into one of its deepest-ever recessions, not to recover for 3 long years.

In 1955, Arabian light crude sold for $2.08 a barrel.

In 1961, the price dropped backed to $1.80, prompting Western industrial  nations to switch from coal (to oil) as their main energy source--exposing themselves economically and politically at the hands of OPEC.

The Persian Gulf region has 65 percent of the world's total oil reserves. Iran hold's 14%.

By 1974, under the Shah (Reza Pahlavi), Iran had become the world's second largest oil-exporter. Iran also wielded great geopolitical influence, being seen by the West as a "buffer" separating an agressive USSR from the world's largest oil region.

Then, October 1978-- a shock heard round the world: the Shah's overthrow, and Ayatollah Khomeini's rise to power-- the origin of radical Islam-- and the intractable problem it would present to the Western world to this present day.

After 1979, "Khomeinism" was exported: Shiite fundamentalist sects were organized using Iranian petro-dollars. Had Khomeini not assumed power, Islamic fundamentalism may not have realized its eventual outgrowth-- the war on terror.

And behind it all was oil. The petro-dollars we were sending to Iran enabled Khomeini (and his heirs) to export their brand of radical Islam, with its ultimate goal of destroying Israel, and its evil supporter America-- the "Great Satan."

Since 1979-- because of Iran's huge oil revenues-- Islamic fundamentalism has since expanded at a chilling pace:

--In 1991, Iran's government used a $500 million "grant" to send 1,300 fundamentalist "preachers" (agents) to "convert" the newly-independent Muslim republics of Central Asia.

--In the last 5 years, Iran has spent $100 million annually to reinforce and maintain their operatives in Lebanon (Hezbollah) and in the Palestinian territories (Hamas).

--Iranain oil money has also paved the way for fundamentalism's growth in the Asian and pan-African world. Indonesia's population is over 90 percent Muslim. Half of Nigeria's population is Muslim; and western European countries are now "parallel" societies.

--Iran is currently scattering hundreds of agents in the near and far reaches of the Mideast, covertly spreading Shiite Islamic beliefs in Sunni-majority countries, and setting up terrorist cells at an all-out pace to subvert the entire region.

Despite Iran's outward appearances, Bush (in his "axis of evil" speech) had it nailed: the Iranians are avowed, implacable enemies of America. They have the determination (and plan) to execute America's eventual downfall-- using their oil "weapon."

A prime example has been the war in Iraq, and how Iran used the conflict to weaken the United States economically.

Since the late 1990's, Iran has used its oil money (on the black market) and has been diverting sophisticated, American-made electronics into the Mideast region-- in violation of a 1995 ban. These electronics were then used to equip roadside bombs (I-E-D's) with remote-controlled detonators ---accounting for about 70 PERCENT of all American combat deaths in Iraq.

And Iranian-sponsored "imported" suicide bombers (from Lebanon) were used to inflame the war to its 2007 peak, resulting in the Pentagon having to commit an additional 300 billion dollars from its budget-- money that America could ill afford.

Iran then used their agents within al Jazeera (the official Islamic TV network) to place the blame on al-Qaida, throwing the CIA completely off the "scent."

Should the American military completely exit Iraq in 2010, it’s a preview of what’s to come: the Iranians could step in and precipitate a much worse situation than during the pre-war Saddam era-- nullifying all political gains by the Iraqi infant democracy-- and replace it all with a Shiite theocracy.

It all goes back in 1978, when a naive and trusting  Jimmy Carter was blind to the real threat--Ayatollah Khomeini's ambitions of an oil-funded, religious-inspired domination of the entire Mideast...and beyond.

In a remarkably parallel situation, it's the equally naive Barack Obama-- facing Iran's Ayatollah Khameini-- who ignores Mideast history at our peril, and seeks a "season of new beginnings," and talked of Iran's "rightful place in the community of nations" in his 2009 New Year's speech.

Then, in his speech at Cairo, Mr. Obama all but expected his words of conciliation to literally "rock the entire Islamic world" and possibly be a deciding factor in the Iranian presidential election.

But in his egotistical arrogance, Obama denies reality: no matter whom the Iranians had chosen to elect as president, there would be no change in foreign policy. The religious Mullahs long ago had made up their minds they would use subversion-- plus oil revenues-- to fuel their nuclear weapons program, and continually undermine Mideast regional stability.

As Obama continually refuses to drill for U.S. domestic oil (and is content to send borrowed petro-dollars to the Mideast)-- it is here where he becomes a pawn in Iranain  hands:

Once Iran eventually become the defacto regional power, it then becomes a replay of 1973-- a sudden Mideast oil embargo -- the price of crude quadruples to perhaps $250-300 per barrel, and defeats the U.S. in a way that only Iran sees...America's economic bankruptcy, where we can no longer supply our military-- nor our nation-- with energy to run our economy, or defend our overseas interests.

The Iranian Mullahs have but one objective toward their Great Satan Western enemy..."we shall overcome."

Obama (ala' Carter) turns the other cheek

1976-1980: The Carter years. It was when the Alaska pipeline opened; it marked the brief 4-year reign of the disco era. And it also marked a not so amazing run of some of the most ill-conceived and embarrassing presidential decisions in U.S. history.

It was in 1980 that the Haitians increased their desperate attempts in rowboats to make it to south Florida-- then disappear into the immigrant underground-- thus setting the precedent for the uncontrolled immigration that plagues our southern borders today.

1980 was also the year of the infamous Miami "Liberty City" riot, stoked by the exoneration of four white policemen who had killed a black insurance man riding a motorcycle. When President Carter visited the riot-torn area a few weeks later, the residents angrily booed him and threw rocks and bottles at his motorcade.

But mainly, 1980 was the year of Fidel Castro's great revenge on America:

After a bus carrying Cuban citizens intentionally crashed into the gates of the Peruvian Embassy in Havana, the passengers claimed asylum. Within days, 11,000 Cubans sought refuge at the Peruvian Embassy. President Carter announced that the U.S. would accept 3,500 refugees if they were first processed in Costa Rica.

Not to be outdone, Castro announced that any Cuban who wanted to leave could do so by boat through Mariel harbor.

Carter, feeling empowered, foolishly proclaimed: "We welcome the Cubans with an open heart and open arms!" The result? It was the 'Mariel Boatlift,' that eventually brought 150,000 "happy-go-lucky" Cubans to Florida, most of them the dregs of society.

Unbeknownst to the naive Carter, his open arms-open borders policy proved disastrous (and to this day its effects are being felt).

It provided the Cubans a welcome relief valve for all their prisons, insane asylums and the wandering homeless, as Castro opened the doors to his most desperate criminals and lethal felons, bidding them..."adios" -"see ya"--"don't forget to write!"

Then the "law of inintended consequences" (the result of Carter's naive liberalism) took hold.

By the reckoning of Lieutenant Mike Gonzalez, who back then was the head of  Miami Police's homicide bureau, ''In that one year (1980), we got 50,000 additional killers and thieves.''

The effect of the so called "Mariel invasion" can be told in the statistics. In the first half of 1980, Miami had 75 murders. Then in the last seven months, there were 269 murders. In 1980-81, Miami had the highest murder rate of any city in the world! So many bodies piled up in the morgue that the Dade county coroner had to rent a refrigerator van to handle the overflow.

The Marielitos had indeed made quite a splash.

Of course back then, Carter "doggedly" chose to stick to his liberal dogma of equality and human rights, which had already led to the overthrow of the Shah, and cascaded into 444 humiliating days of America's bowing to Iran during the hostage crisis.

But liberals never learn; they always put idealism ahead of patriotism... and sanity itself.

And Carter's record was unblemished...he batted "1,000". Throughout his presidency, he was liberal putty in the hands of Torrios from Panama, Khomeni from Iran, Breshnev from Russia, and finally Castro--always giving our enemies the benefit of the doubt-- and receiving a foreign policy black eye in return for the favor.

And the icing on the cake was unleashing the Marielitos upon an unsuspecting America, who wreaked their murderous havoc upon every city where their nationwide migratory path descended.

And who was it that said history repeats? Now 3 decades later, the parallels are eerie, almost uncanny in resemblance. And once again the problem concerns Cuba.

Barack Obama now faces many of the same sort of radical Islamist problems that Carter did, but has thus far demonstrated no concrete capacity to govern within the best interests of the nation, because it's that same liberal compulsion-- to be fair-- that's paramount in his mind.

And like Carter, will he unleash another callous group of unscrupulous killers upon us--who's sworn objective is their jihadistic exhortation: "Death to Satan America?"

But according to a spokesmen in the Obama administration: "Promptly determining the appropriate disposition of those detained at Guantanamo Bay is a high priority for the president."

Attorney General Eric Holder has submitted a legal declaration outlining President Barack Obama's efforts to close Guantanamo Bay within a year, and "determine" where to place the 240 people held there.

Translation: "We think releasing these "freedom fighters" will look good before the eyes of the world".

In his brief, Holder maintains... "It is still unlawful to hold people indefinitely without charge. The men who have been held for more than seven years by our government must be charged or released."

Translation: We're gonna let these terrorists slide, because to hold them "without charge" would be a violation of their human rights.

Obama (in his best Carter imitation ) seems to be saying, "So we welcome to America all you terrorists with open arms; what can we do to make you more comfortable?"

And as Carter disastrously once beckoned the Marielitos, Obama, in closing a facility harboring some of the most murderous psychopaths on the planet--without first knowing what he's going to do with them-- seems to be courting déjà vu.

Is Obama inviting another Marielito-style debacle? In an obvious bowing to the left, it was his decision to close Guantanamo in the first place.

And while we're at, let’s do it "right", and go way-way far left! Why not invite the head honcho--Osama bin Ladin himself --to the White House in an "outreach to the enemy" gesture? Put down new prayer rugs in the East Room. Invite him to stay overnight in the Lincoln bedroom.

And in a "further outreach", why not also invite all the soon-to-be freed Gitmo "ex combatants" to the White House, like a victorious world champion sports team? After all, according to anti-President Obama, these were the people who were captured and victimized by our racist, imperialist, and oppressive invading American soldiers, and who were unjustly captured and held against their will, and had to suffer everyday in Gitmo with three square meals, library, exercise courts, and endure the warm, breezy, subtropical climate-- and were provided the freedom to practice their Muslim religion--and secretly plot the demise of the USA (in their cold-blooded minds) upon release.

So Obama is giving them their wish and will have his attorney general grant them all hearings. And the ACLU will defend them in court.

Yes we can! We will turn the other cheek.

And what this all (in effect) amounts to is a tacit "declaration of abandonment" of our own soldiers, who's buddies were those attacked and killed by these same people, and who heroically risked their lives to capture and imprison these Islamist desperados in the first place.

So it's high time we apologized and "made up for it", and hope the rest of the world gets the "Everybody is supposed to love us now" memo.

And ironically, bolstered by a supremely stupid decision by our leftist-leaning Supreme Court, this whole filthy mess could have been avoided were it not for a 5-4 decision by the treasonous judicists who voted for the legal rights of these radicals. Maybe now they'll help them to get jobs in the Obama administration.

Yes-- it's all in the name of "detente" with the Muslim world, as we eliminate the term, "war on terror", and replace it with a Carter-esque policy of appeasement.

Like they say: "Carter' was so devoted to peace, that he risked a big war." And Obama seems to be following the script.

And by inviting bin Ladin into the Whitehouse, maybe Obama could bypass the war with the Taliban, withdraw from Afghanistan, and resolve the nuke problem with Iran. And who knows? Maybe Hamas might switch to launching peace feelers instead of rockets at the Israelis!

Who are our major enemies in the Middle East? Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas. What are we doing about it? Be nice!  And by making nice to our enemies now as Carter once attempted to do, surely all the nice Muslims will return the favor.

And now let us all "outreach" to the enemy and close with the Obama creed:

I am Obama, champion of the meek;
Attack America, and I will turn the other cheek.
We will appease rather than take a stand;
while I transform America into a socialist land.
Long live Karl Marx and John Maynard Keynes;
as I uproot the Constitution, and reinterpret what it means.

The Axis of Evil may forever turn History against George Dubya Bush

Let's all play pretend for a minute; pretend that an oil strike was discovered along the Israeli-Gaza border. Like the fabled story of Jed Clanton- a wayward Katusha rocket exploded somewhere in a field and..."up from the ground came some bubblin' crude"...a new, 5 billion barrel oil field!

Something like oil wealth from an actual discovery could go a long way to resolve the hatred between Israel and the Palestinians; a bitter rift that supposedly cannot be reconciled. But in the Middle East, oil money changes everything; and it would certainly go a long way in "healing" the historic divide between the two side-by-side populations. But alas, they reside on land that has no oil to be found.

Currently the conflict is raging into its second week, as Israel continues its war on the Hamas rocketeers and their radical Islamic leaders; who defiantly continue their aggression by firing a barrage of 40-50 rockets a day; and all are provocatively aimed at civilian targets within Israeli territory.

With all the media reports of the intense suffering of the civilian populations, people around the world can only wonder, "Why do these people continue to hate each other so much... especially when they reside so close together? Like Rodney King once posited, "Can't they all just get along"?  But is there more at play here than only hatred? For Israel in the Gaza strip, the source of their conflict lies 1200 miles to the east.

The images from the fighting in Gaza are harrowing but ultimately deceptive. They portray a mighty invading army, one equipped with F-16 jets bombing a civilian population, and defended by a few thousand fighters armed with primitive rockets. But expand the picture, and the true nature of this conflict emerges: Hamas, like Hezbollah in Lebanon, is a proxy for the real enemy Israel is confronting- Iran.

Many in the West have yet to grasp that the Middle East conflict is no longer just about creating a Palestinian state, but about preventing the region's takeover by radical Islam.Iran has co-opted Hamas into transforming the Israeli-Palestinian conflict into a jihad against the Jewish state.

So now lets proceed to connect all the dots; but first, we must partake of a brief history lesson:

For years, the shahs ruled Iran. By 1970, Iran was the world's second largest exporter of oil. Iran had great geo-political importance, because it was seen as a buffer between the Soviet Union and the world's largest oil reserves. These factors made the Shah's overthrow in 1978, and Ayatollah Khomeini's rise to power, all the more important.

Oil also provided the funds for Iran to export their revolution and fundamentalism. Huge oil revenues paid for their extensive political campaigns abroad, funded the worldwide networks created to recruit radicals, and provided the financial support for Iran's surrogates in the Islamic world. So now connect the dots.

DOT # 1: In Iran, they need not keep a large standing army; they merely use other Islamic radical factions like Hamas and Hezbollah as military proxies to perform their dirty work, and remain aloof above the fray. And in conjunction, Iran is behind all the Palestinian suicide bombers; paying each family $25,000 for sacrificing those offspring deemed "to have no future"

Dot# 2: Iran is PAYING Hamas big money to launch a certain number of rockets everyday, and aim them all directly at Israeli civilian targets. This explains why Hamas' leaders remain so staunchly defiant against the overwhelming strength of the Israeli military.

Dot #3: After the inevitable U.N. ceasefire that will be forthcoming between Israel and Hamas, Iran will fire up Hezbollah in the north, and resume the intense pressure on Israel. The Iranians know the more the world's attention remains focused on that part of the world, the less attention is focused on what they are up to at home.

Dot #4: Iran's president, Mamoud Akmadinejad. He cleverly decided to divert the world's attention away from Iran's nuclear weapons program, and refocus on that good ol' mainstay, the Israeli-Palestine cauldron of woes. Just before the conflict arose, the world's attention was focused on Iran. The news contained buzz words that people didn't quite understand, like 'centrifuge' and 'heavy uranium'.

Dot #5: The timing of all this is what's interesting: it shows just how clever Akmadinejad and the Iranian mullahs are. Right when Bush is departing, and President-elect Obama is entering, the deceptiveness of the Iranian strategy is nothing short of brilliant. Last December, Obama and his foreign policy advisors were anxiously focusing on how to garner support from Europe for what to do about Iran getting "the big bomb."

But now Obama, who's been putting forth policy feelers about almost everything else, has clammed up tight about the Israeli-Hamas fray, because there is no middle ground he can seek here; and Akmadinejad knows it. Thus, the Iranians picked the ideal time to approach Hamas with, "Have we ever got a jihadist inspiration for you! Rocket launchings for big-big shekels". Just like any situation that involves political intrigue; you just follow the $$$.

Going back to 9-11 in 2001, relations between Iran and the U.S. actually began to warm for a brief period. But Bush, in his supreme arrogance, blundered the opportunity only as he could do. At that time detente was a possibility between Washington and Teheran, whose ties had soured back in the days since the Iranian revolution. Iran had been having its own problems with the Taliban, who were outspoken in their abusiveness to all the Shiite minority who resided in Afghanistan. Thus with Iran and U.S. now on the same page, it was "the enemy of thine enemy is my friend" type of budding alliance.

So for a time, Iran was cooperating with the U.S. to destroy the Taliban, and the Afghan Shiites were in a position to help with the capture of Sunni extremist Osama bin Laden.  But that cooperation came to a sudden dead end in early 2002, when George Dubya decide to huff and puff about his "axis-of-evil-Bush-doctrine" fiasco, and heedlessly singled out Iran as the center of the axis.

To this day, Akmadinejad contends, "We helped America in Afghanistan; but the result of our assistance was Bush threatening us with an attack. And for six years, he's been engaged in similar talk against us".

And with a more moderate Iran in 2003, would the Iraq war have gone more easily? And would Israel and Hamas even be fighting today? The entire geopolitical map in the Middle East may have turned in a different pro-western direction, as opposed to the present reality.

With the winding down of the long Iraq war, the moderate Islamic states now realize that it's not Israel, but a nuclear-armed Iran that should be the focus of their attention. Even the Russians have good reason to be nervous-- a nuclear-capable Iran would pose a huge threat to all their surrounding "stans"...Uzbekistan, Kurdistan, Kazakstan, etc.

And would Iran now be on the verge of nuclear proliferation, and threatening the entire Mid East with nuclear aggression? Future history can only answer that.

And as history unfolds, not the Iraq war, but Bush's recriminations about Iran, and cornering the mullahs into a defensive posture unnecessarily, may turn out to be the biggest U.S. foreign policy blunder since FDR at Yalta in 1945. It's been a blunder that might produce a hostile, nuclear-armed Iran running loose around the world for all the 21st century, when it all might have been avoided, except for that fateful State of the Union address in Jan of 2002.

American liberalism vs Islamic fundamentalism...place your bets everybody!

After the 2001 attack on September 11, Saddam Hussein, on behalf of his Baathist party, sent a message of sympathy to the American families of those who had perished: "I have well pondered over your emotions regarding the victims of the two towers. All I can say in presenting my condolences, is to reiterate the Muslim's linguistic formula for occasions like this: "God has created us, and to him, we return".

At that time, Saddam had said he did not know who was behind the attacks, and affirmed that he would not offer condolences to George W Bush, whose father he blamed for the hated U.N.sanctions against Iraq after the First Gulf War.

Now contrast this to the way the 9-11 news was received where the Islamic extremists dominated the population. There were wild celebrations in downtown Riyahd (Saudi Arabia), and parades in the Palestinian territories in Gaza and West Bank. The Iranian mullahs could not contain their joy. Score one for the Muslim fundamentalists!

Since the Shah of Iran was overthrown in 1978, those 'devilish' Muslim extremists have been at it ever since. They are avowed enemies of America, and they have the determination to go to no end to see America's eventual downfall

After 1979, "Khomeinism" was exported; Shiite fundamentalists were organized and nourished financially from Iranian petrodollars. Had Khomeini not assumed power in Iran, (one of the major OPEC oil exporters), "Islamic fundamentalism" would not have been the issue of global concern it is today.

Khomeini attempted to provoke the Muslims everywhere to revolt and establish an Islamic government modeled after his own, and be subject to the outside influences of Iranian chicanery and bribery.

A prime example is the war in Iraq. Ever since the late 1990's, the mullahs were using their oil money on the black market to divert the shipping of thousands of microchips and other sophisticated American-made electronics to Iran in violation of a 1995 ban. These were then used to equip roadside bombs with remote-controlled detonators in Iraq, accounting for about 70 percent of American combat deaths

Even today, with security vastly improved as a result of the "surge', the Shiite suicide bombers are re-emerging in Iraq, determined to keep the cauldron  of violence boiling. A female bomber blew herself up near an entrance to the U.S.-protected Green Zone, and a bomb tore through a minibus carrying Iraqi government employees, killing at least 20 people; and a third attack on an Iraqi police patrol in Baghdad killed two civilians.

And should the Americans depart in 2010, that’s just a preview of what’s to come.

Today al Jazeera, the official Islamic TV network, would undoubtedly covet the chance to broadcast an Islamic public service message of radicalism…”These suicide bombings have been brought to you by our sponsor...Hezbollah, a division of the Iranian mullahs, whose slogan is..." life --in the eyes of Islam-- is cheap". We have an unlimited expendable amount of lives, and an unlimited amount of time for the removal the Israel from the map; and eventually, for undermining the great Satan of America...it is our final solution!"

Looking back to the late 1970's, there has been no let up in the slow, but sure influences in the growth of radical fundamentalism, which has ominously emerged in the rapidly growing secular Islamic populations in western Europe.

The current policy of appeasement which Europe has adopted toward Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the Iranian government, is not unlike the appeasement of Chamberlain to Hitler at 1938 Munich. It has similar effects. Whenever the mullahs see that their support for fundamentalism beyond Iran's borders does not meet with an adverse reaction, they are encouraged to agitate more.

If the United States should withdraw from Iraq prematurely, the Iranians would (could) have the upper hand within a short period of time, and it would result in a much worse situation than the pre-war Saddam era.

And it’s not just a question of politics or religion-- the Islamic fundamentalists are at a cultural war with America. We are not known as the great Satan for the purposes of P.R. These radicals  despise all there is about America, and nothing short of political overthrow can ever deter them. Therefore, negotiating is probably not a real option in the long run.

They remain our implacable enemies, who only understand force. And the cultural divide that fundamental Islam poses with the west will never be breached in our lifetimes.

Even now the Iranians are trying to pass a law that would allow men to take on additional wives without having to notify their first wife. This is  a fine upstanding example of radical Muslim values--the more women in this life, the "marrier". And then they promise all who would martyr themselves for the Islamic Cause,to be rewarded with 72 virgins in the afterlife.

Funny how they got to arrive at that 72 number, isn’t it? Or even the stipulation that they all be virgins. Guess its all part of that cultural divide that we will never understand

So it’s no wonder that no matter how much we shine the shoes of Saudi Arabia, or kiss the feet of Ahmadinejad for Iranian compliance to our no-nuclear wishes, it doesn’t matter, and will never matter-- our basic way of life is an anathema to their basic way of life,

As archaic and medieval as it sounds, these Islamic extremists don’t want anyone rocking their boat… “Do not attempt to challenge our right to subjugate women...our Islam-permitted bigamy is worth fighting for”.  Think about it. In this age of viagra, wouldn’t you want to defend your right to have an unlimited number of wives?

When the U.S. military moved into Saudi Arabia in 1991 as a pre-staging area for Desert Storm, they also brought with them American culture, which included female service personnel, who drove jeeps around by themselves. This, plus the fact that the U.S. soldiers would attempt to flirt with attractive Saudi women, served only to enrage Osama bin Laden, the man who declared war on America, and who has at least 5 KNOWN wives himself.

Bin Laden immediately recognized the cultural peril. He wrote: "If we were to embrace the values of these Americans, it would undermine belief in Allah, destroy the Muslim family, and corrupt the holy innocence of Muslim girls and Muslim children."

He warned both the governments of Saudi Arabia and the U.S. that he would wage war against "the defilers of the sacred places".  But at that time, Americans did not understand what the big deal was in defiling the "holy places" of Islam in the  Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, home of Mecca and Medina. So the stage was set for September 11, and the ongoing war against America  by Osama bin Laden and his organization.

Think how different the world would be today if Kuwait could have been rescued from Saddam without the American buildup in Saudi Arabia. George H. W. Bush may have been reelected, leading to no Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush may never have even been a candidate. But time only moves forward.

And ironically, time may go on to prove that the most hated president in modern history, may have gotten it right the first time. In his 2002 state of the union speech, Bush first spoke of Iran as part of the axis of evil.

But what if the U.S. were to withdraw from Iraq, and go onto to kill bin Laden in Afghanistan? Would this end the war on terror as defined by the Bush doctrine? The Shiite Iranians would quickly re-emerge in Iraq, and could politically destabilize the country, and as mentioned before, we would be in a worse position than before the war when Saddam reigned.

The sheer determination of Islamic fundamentalists can be found in their creed --they have fundamental differences with America in  every way. Americans will always be the infidels, the atheists, the defilers, and the invaders; and either they overtake us or American culture will eventually overtake them

Bush always said the center of the war on terror was in Iraq; and ironically, he may be proved correct should the Iranians eventually succeed in nuking Israel, and then blocking the Strait of Hormuz, and cutting off the huge percentage of oil we import from there. This would cripple our military, leaving it without sufficient fuel to fight a lengthy conflict. So what then?

The U.S. cannot afford to let Iran go nuclear, and have this option hanging over our heads. Like Bin laden, the Iranian mullahs have a trump card-- America doesn’t understand the depth of their hostility, nor the threat to their culture we represent to them.

A primary example of the fervor of militant Iranian Islamic fundamentalism can  be traced back to1981, after Anwar Sadat made peace with Israel. It was the debut of the type of Iranian-exported radical Islam that would actually attack anyone, (even a politically popular hero from an Islamic country such as Egypt) who displayed ANY signs of pro-westernism.

Sadat was assassinated by his own people, who knew being friends with Israel would soon open the door for Israeli culture, such as women soldiers, women treated as equals, women holding jobs and college degrees, etc. The basic tenet of Islamic fundamentalism has less to do with religious differences than it does with the western ideal of women as equals. Fundamentalism basically says: "do not attempt to mess with our freedom to subjugate women to mere objects... they exist strictly for the pleasure of men".

We can never come to terms with any nation that is fundamentally Moslem, no matter what we do. To them not only is life cheap (suicide bombers), they hold women in an entirely different light. They see women as having no civil right to be educated, hold jobs, or even drive a car. What if the democrats had nominated Hillary? It would have been determined as a sign of weakness, and American softness; and invited ridicule and hostility.

And If the U.S. had elected her as president, America would be mocked widely throughout the Muslim world as a weakened nation.

With Hillary as secretary of state, the Muslim extremist nations will take a tongue in cheek attitude toward negotiations , and undoubtedly, hold no treaty agreements as binding. They have no respect for women in any role except that of a child bearer, and for this very reason, neither side will ever have any common ground with the other, at least for the foreseeable future.

In Afghanistan today, the Taliban goes around throwing acid at girls who are caught going to school. The Saudi police arrest women caught driving cars, even in emergencies . Plainclothes Iranian secret police go around arresting any females wearing jeans. They don’t want these women to get any "ideas" that they actually have a human right to being the equal status of men.

Can you ever picture American diplomacy as making inroads with any radical Muslim leader, such as Ahmadinejad? But actually, what HAS made inroads into the previously closed Moslem societies is the satellite dish and the internet.

Rap music has become increasingly popular amongst young urban males in "underground" Teheran. The Islamic republic's hard-line officials have repeatedly complained about a "cultural invasion" by "decadent" western music, which they believe diminishes Islamic values. Officials expressed  frustration that rap artists were finding ways to publish rap music on the Internet. "We should find a solution for this."

So what is the final solution for the befuddled mullahs? Go after the source-- the great Satan America! And time is their side, and the oil money to eventually ruin and subvert us.

Why do you think our greatest enemies are now of Islamic origin? The answer once again is the dish. For centuries Islamic societies were closed to the outside world; but when forbidden American TV shows and movies began to percolate through their populations from hidden satellite dishes, word quickly spread..."in America,  women drive cars, have jobs, wear makeup and jeans, and go shopping".

And the word really got out amongst the young : "Psst!..this traditional Koranic Islam is for the mullahs, we Iranian girls just wanna have fun; we wanna watch soap operas...we wanna wear jeans, and get our hair done for the weekend! You mullahs can keep this hijab (islamic head scarf)."

Young Iranian men want to play and dance to American music, and cruise for young ladies on Friday night. American films such as "Saturday Night Fever" and Clint Eastwood cowboy flicks, are immensely popular. Oprah is the favorite TV show for Saudi women, who long for the freedom of expression women have in America.

With the genie now out of the bottle in all the middle eastern nations, so began the rumblings..."we want what the Americans have"...posing a grave political threat to the traditional Islamic way of life everywhere.

So is it any wonder that radical Islam toward the US emerged as suddenly, and with such fanatical ferocity, as it did? America is an anathema to them-- an upheaval. The satanic American lifestyle merits one a quick trip to Islamic hell, so they'll never again sell us cheap oil as they did in the early 70's.

And they'll continue their attempt to undermine us before we unintentionally undermine them.

Obviously, our no-drilling insanity plays right into their "holy" hands, as they continue to import huge sums of our money. This is also why we must find some political solution to open up and explore our offshore oil and domestic shale, and mine our own energy resources.

But our energy policy has been compromised on the homefront by the radical leftists. We've placed a cumbersome, political-environmental rope around our necks.

It's also necessary to stop this liberal idea that we should be apologists.  We must cease this mindless national self flagellation...stop this foolish atonement for our American lifestyle that's imitated and coveted by the rest of the world, and think of ourselves first. If we don't, will any other nations look out for us?

These "other nations" may say they love America, but which of them aren't deeply envious of all we have?. They'd love to overtake us.  Everyone wants to drive a car, enjoy addictive fast food like us, speak American slang, and live like Americans; plus watch TV and surf the internet.

In an oblique way of speaking, you could now say that worldwide, everyone is now "American" in their heart of hearts.

So lets look at the "WE" versus "THEM" scoreboard for the future. They have the oil and the sheer will of their political-religious determination (and the latitude of time); and we have an insane, self-destructive energy policy, and a desire to appease and play nice. So with the new American tilt to liberalism, who will likely triumph in the long run?

A betting man, over time, would probably place his money on the fundamentalists. And without a FUNDAMENTAL change in our attitude, the mullahs will come to realize that they can look to Martin Luther King for their inspiration, knowing eventually..."they shall overcome", and someday find a way to defeat us in a relentless and uncompromising holy war against the United States and the West as a whole.
