Truman's Bluff

All right class! Sit up...pay attention; we're about to pose a thought-provoking historical question:

What if President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) had lived 6 more months? Would he have dropped the BOMB? And would we have witnessed the end of World War 2 by August, 1945?

And could the war have evolved into a worse conflagration? Raise your hand if you know.

After Roosevelt's disastrous giveaway at Yalta in early 1945 to Josef Stalin, the Red Army had a "green light opportunity." With eastern Europe in hand, Stalin directed them to head south, and by August 1945 the Red Army was massing on the border of Iran.

So what would Roosevelt have done? In all probability-- nothing.

Stalin would have then proceeded straight to Tehran, and installed a new Tudeh (Communist) regime in no time.

But most fortunately, it was Harry Truman at the helm, who would literally terrify Stalin out of Iran-- purely on a bluff.

Truman-- immediately upon being sworn-in-- recognized Stalin's true intention: Communist expansion, not only into eastern Europe, but also into the oil-rich Mideast.

But Stalin believed that America was ready to follow the lead of the late, liberal, trusting FDR, calculating that Truman would not at all want to risk extending the war onto a new front (Mideast). Stalin would be proven wrong-- very wrong!

Truman immediately had made up his mind; he would send Ambassador Walter Bedell Smith to personally meet with Stalin in the Kremlin, to deliver the most "strongly worded" message in presidential history.

But for the sake of historical context, a little backround on the country formerly known as "Persia."

In 1908, British colonials discovered oil in Persia, and formed the Anglo-Persian Oil Company-- later evolving into British Petroleum.

After World War IPersia's ruler, Ahmad Shah, proved to be grossly incompetent, and in 1921, the pro- British "Reza Khan Merpanji" (1877-1944) was put on the throne, who then changed his name to "Pahlavi" (in deference to an ancient Persian language translation).

But the "Reza Khan move" eventually backfired on the British.

Ol' Reezy turned out to be a political weathervane, and in betrayal, he decided to entreat Adolf Hitler in Germany, even going so far as to decree that Persia would henceforth be known as "Iran," meaning..."Land of Aryans".

Hitler felt genuinely complimented that the country had re-named itself as home of the "Master Race", and recognizing Iran's strategic importance, a German-Persian alliance was formed in 1939 after the start of the war.

The Allies, greatly alarmed, invaded Tehran in August 1941 and deposed the pro-Nazi Reza Khan, installing his son Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1917-1980) as the next leader.

The Russians stayed in Iran until Autumn, l942 when they were forced to withdraw and reinforce their army against Hitler's invasion into Stalingrad

To this day, historians question Hitler's stubborn refusal to allow his huge Stalingrad force to surrender. But if one examines the world map in mid-1942, it reveals expansionist Nazi armies; one moving east toward the Suez under Rommel, and a huge, 600,000 man force moving south on Stalingrad under von Paulus.

If Hitler had struck at Stalingrad only 3 months earlier, he would have taken the city, moved south to hook up with the Iranians, and could have met Rommel closing in from the west--possibly winning the war as early as mid 1943.

Stalin (like Hitler) understood Iran's strategic importance, so upon meeting with FDR and Churchill at the Tehran Conference at the end of 1943, Stalin conned the trusting Roosevelt, and agreed..."In exchange for continued U.S. aid, I will make no post-war move on Iran."

This was one of many of Stalin's big lies, which set the stage for Roosevelt's disastrous giveaway at Yalta.

Four months after Roosevelt's death, Stalin dispatched a Red Army column to march from Soviet Azerbaijan across the border to Iran, with orders to seize the capital, Tehran.

Now enter the firebrand, no-nonsense persona of Harry Truman, who--via his ambassador-- then delivered his fateful "ultimatum" to Stalin, which in so many words had said:

"Dear Mr. Stalin; we think you're just a bit out of bounds, and have violated your agreement at Tehran. Thus, if you recall the 2 big bombs we recently dropped on Japan, if your army doesn't withdraw from the Iranian border within 48 hours, I will immediately dispatch ANOTHER atomic bomb mission from our bases in Libya, and drop the next one right on their fur-capped Soviet heads!"

Stalin complied--and rather quickly.

But liberal, revisionist historians have downplayed Truman; so you hear little of the heroic stand he took against Stalin at the end of hostilities in 1945, when the U.S. actually had no THIRD atomic bomb.

But what if Truman had not bluffed Stalin? The entire Mideast map of post-World War II might have gone all Communist, and to this very day, the Russians might be the ones we would be paying for imported oil, instead of OPEC.

Indeed, history has completely ignored Truman's sheer cunning;

The U.S. was at least 6 months away from assembling a third atomic bomb. But the media despised the blunt-talking, monotone-voiced Missourian, being the reason why it took so long for Truman to take his rightful place in history as perhaps the boldest and most intuitive president of the 20th century.

And on the flip side of fate, what if FDR dies a month EARLIER, say around March 12, 1945?

It's not the least bit of a stretch that a highly-aggressive George Patton would have told a newly sworn-in Harry Truman..."Mr. President, l can chase these Russkies all the way back to the Ukraine-- just gimme the green light!"

By March '45, given the arrival of the newly-upgraded, General Pershing tanks, replete with a high-velocity 90 mm. main gun, and the legions of B-24 & B-17 bombers-- plus heavily-armed P-51 Mustang and P-47 Thunderbolt fighters (6 or 8 .50-caliber Browning machine guns)-- the United States was indeed the most powerful war machine the world had ever seen.

And despite the numerical superiority of the Soviet armies on the ground, the Americans could have thrown 10 times as much steel as the backwardly-armed Russians (particularly the Red Air Force), and General Patton, and 8th Air Force General Curtiss LeMay, could have blasted the Soviets all the way back to the Ural Mountains-- and beyond.

And  the Cold War? it would have been nothing but a figment in Winston Churchill's imagination.

But what would FDR have done if he had lived 6 more months? Let's pontificate:

In his trusting liberal heart, FDR may have told his generals..."Oh, let Mr. Stalin go; he can have Iran, it's only fair; the Russians did most of the anti-Nazi fighting; they're our allies; no sense in arguing; bring our boys home; we have no interest in those deserts; we've got plenty of oil back here at home"... etc.

And in a perverse way of reasoning, if not for Roosevelt's April,1945 cerebro-vascular accident (stroke), what then? In retrospect, it may have been one of the most fortunate "accidents" in modern world history.

Beginning with FDR (and his Yalta fiasco) liberal presidents have always trusted our enemies, and have had a compulsion to be "fair" to them. But  fortunately (for America) a conservative president came along every time to sweep up the mess.

In the post-war era, it was the liberal Texan, Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ), who decided to escalate a regional overseas conflict into a full blown war (Vietnam), for reasons that are only known to him.

But Johnson not only blundered America into an unnecessary conflict, the LBJ presidency was also germane in debasing our currency.

In the late 60's, Vietnam war costs were spiraling out of control. The Pentagon's war budget was exploding; inflation was bubbling up. The dollar was sinking.

So Mr. Johnson 'cleverly' decided to set a economic precedent that has flourished to this very day-- unleash a new federal reserve strategy-- run the printing presses.

In all its previous wars, the U.S. had enacted either tax hikes, or selling what the old timers refer to as "war bonds". But LBJ had the fed crank out approximately 80 billion in unbacked paper currency, to keep his Great Society ship of state afloat.

So by March of 1971, the wolf was at the Whitehouse door, and with inflation spiraling out of control, Nixon was forced to abandon the gold standard, and the irreparable damage to the U.S. dollar had been done-- never again would it be pegged to the price of gold-- it would float up or down in relation to the other currencies of the world.

Then in 1977, liberal democrat Jimmy Carter (Mr. Human Rights), immediately began his naive destruction of our foreign intelligence agencies, approving the firing of 400 of our best CIA agents(many of them in the Mideast)-- an ongoing disaster that has affected America calamitously to the present day.

Carter intuitively MISUNDERSTOOD the depths of hatred that the radical Islamist movement would have toward America.

Once the surprise revelation became known that the Shah of Iran was in trouble, Carter actually sided WITH Ayatollah Khomeini, because he, like himself, was a "religious man", and would "never violate the human rights of the Iranian people" as the Shah had done with his secret police force (SAVAK).

Carter foolishly failed to realize that Khomeini could actually be more "unfair" than the Shah; and would employ Iran's oil revenues AGAINST the United States.

Carter let the Shah fall in ignominy. And just as history blames Roosevelt for the Cold War, Carter could be considered the defacto founder of radical Islam.

And what about the liberal Bill Clinton, and his baseless trusting of our "ally," the Chinese?

In February of 1996, President Clinton authorized the export of critical booster-rocket and satellite technology to China, undercutting the Justice Department's investigation that it would greatly harm U.S. national security.

A New York Times reporter uncovered the actual plot:

In an admission by Democratic fund-raiser Johnny Chung, it was revealed a quid-pro-quo had occurred-- Clinton had received nearly $100,000 in Chinese "contributions" for his re-election campaign of 1996.

Currently, China is practicing how to shoot down orbiting satellites; and to our peril, the media has deliberately ignored Clinton's responsibility, having saved China approximately 15-20 years of difficult research-- all for campaign contributions.

And now that the Chinese are flush with cash (most of it ours) they are going all-out to develop a threat the U.S. hasn't witnessed since Stalin acquired our hydrogen bomb secrets in 1949: the DF- 21 missile, a  'kill weapon' to target & destroy U.S. aircraft carriers.

The DF-21 rises above the atmosphere at Mach-10, then plunges rapidly with "smart bomb" guidance capability to strike a large moving target at sea-- thereby rendering the U.S. naval carrier umbrella almost useless.

Imagine all American carriers-- going the way of the World War II battleships-- becoming obsolete almost overnight; all through the courtesy of Mr. William Jefferson Clinton.

Clinton's reckless actions with China may now have now greased the skids for a possible future war, but you'll never hear about it in the pro-liberal media, who-- ever since the days of FDR-- have covered up the sinful mistakes of democrats, and the reason why the U.S. military is as necessary now as it was in 1941, or at any other time in America's storied history.

But despite all the negative slant of the media, the United States has been an honorable country, and has never kept territory, or plundered any land we've conquered.

It's all part of our "good karma" as a truly blessed nation.

Obama (ala' Carter) turns the other cheek

1976-1980: The Carter years. It was when the Alaska pipeline opened; it marked the brief 4-year reign of the disco era. And it also marked a not so amazing run of some of the most ill-conceived and embarrassing presidential decisions in U.S. history.

It was in 1980 that the Haitians increased their desperate attempts in rowboats to make it to south Florida-- then disappear into the immigrant underground-- thus setting the precedent for the uncontrolled immigration that plagues our southern borders today.

1980 was also the year of the infamous Miami "Liberty City" riot, stoked by the exoneration of four white policemen who had killed a black insurance man riding a motorcycle. When President Carter visited the riot-torn area a few weeks later, the residents angrily booed him and threw rocks and bottles at his motorcade.

But mainly, 1980 was the year of Fidel Castro's great revenge on America:

After a bus carrying Cuban citizens intentionally crashed into the gates of the Peruvian Embassy in Havana, the passengers claimed asylum. Within days, 11,000 Cubans sought refuge at the Peruvian Embassy. President Carter announced that the U.S. would accept 3,500 refugees if they were first processed in Costa Rica.

Not to be outdone, Castro announced that any Cuban who wanted to leave could do so by boat through Mariel harbor.

Carter, feeling empowered, foolishly proclaimed: "We welcome the Cubans with an open heart and open arms!" The result? It was the 'Mariel Boatlift,' that eventually brought 150,000 "happy-go-lucky" Cubans to Florida, most of them the dregs of society.

Unbeknownst to the naive Carter, his open arms-open borders policy proved disastrous (and to this day its effects are being felt).

It provided the Cubans a welcome relief valve for all their prisons, insane asylums and the wandering homeless, as Castro opened the doors to his most desperate criminals and lethal felons, bidding them..."adios" -"see ya"--"don't forget to write!"

Then the "law of inintended consequences" (the result of Carter's naive liberalism) took hold.

By the reckoning of Lieutenant Mike Gonzalez, who back then was the head of  Miami Police's homicide bureau, ''In that one year (1980), we got 50,000 additional killers and thieves.''

The effect of the so called "Mariel invasion" can be told in the statistics. In the first half of 1980, Miami had 75 murders. Then in the last seven months, there were 269 murders. In 1980-81, Miami had the highest murder rate of any city in the world! So many bodies piled up in the morgue that the Dade county coroner had to rent a refrigerator van to handle the overflow.

The Marielitos had indeed made quite a splash.

Of course back then, Carter "doggedly" chose to stick to his liberal dogma of equality and human rights, which had already led to the overthrow of the Shah, and cascaded into 444 humiliating days of America's bowing to Iran during the hostage crisis.

But liberals never learn; they always put idealism ahead of patriotism... and sanity itself.

And Carter's record was unblemished...he batted "1,000". Throughout his presidency, he was liberal putty in the hands of Torrios from Panama, Khomeni from Iran, Breshnev from Russia, and finally Castro--always giving our enemies the benefit of the doubt-- and receiving a foreign policy black eye in return for the favor.

And the icing on the cake was unleashing the Marielitos upon an unsuspecting America, who wreaked their murderous havoc upon every city where their nationwide migratory path descended.

And who was it that said history repeats? Now 3 decades later, the parallels are eerie, almost uncanny in resemblance. And once again the problem concerns Cuba.

Barack Obama now faces many of the same sort of radical Islamist problems that Carter did, but has thus far demonstrated no concrete capacity to govern within the best interests of the nation, because it's that same liberal compulsion-- to be fair-- that's paramount in his mind.

And like Carter, will he unleash another callous group of unscrupulous killers upon us--who's sworn objective is their jihadistic exhortation: "Death to Satan America?"

But according to a spokesmen in the Obama administration: "Promptly determining the appropriate disposition of those detained at Guantanamo Bay is a high priority for the president."

Attorney General Eric Holder has submitted a legal declaration outlining President Barack Obama's efforts to close Guantanamo Bay within a year, and "determine" where to place the 240 people held there.

Translation: "We think releasing these "freedom fighters" will look good before the eyes of the world".

In his brief, Holder maintains... "It is still unlawful to hold people indefinitely without charge. The men who have been held for more than seven years by our government must be charged or released."

Translation: We're gonna let these terrorists slide, because to hold them "without charge" would be a violation of their human rights.

Obama (in his best Carter imitation ) seems to be saying, "So we welcome to America all you terrorists with open arms; what can we do to make you more comfortable?"

And as Carter disastrously once beckoned the Marielitos, Obama, in closing a facility harboring some of the most murderous psychopaths on the planet--without first knowing what he's going to do with them-- seems to be courting déjà vu.

Is Obama inviting another Marielito-style debacle? In an obvious bowing to the left, it was his decision to close Guantanamo in the first place.

And while we're at, let’s do it "right", and go way-way far left! Why not invite the head honcho--Osama bin Ladin himself --to the White House in an "outreach to the enemy" gesture? Put down new prayer rugs in the East Room. Invite him to stay overnight in the Lincoln bedroom.

And in a "further outreach", why not also invite all the soon-to-be freed Gitmo "ex combatants" to the White House, like a victorious world champion sports team? After all, according to anti-President Obama, these were the people who were captured and victimized by our racist, imperialist, and oppressive invading American soldiers, and who were unjustly captured and held against their will, and had to suffer everyday in Gitmo with three square meals, library, exercise courts, and endure the warm, breezy, subtropical climate-- and were provided the freedom to practice their Muslim religion--and secretly plot the demise of the USA (in their cold-blooded minds) upon release.

So Obama is giving them their wish and will have his attorney general grant them all hearings. And the ACLU will defend them in court.

Yes we can! We will turn the other cheek.

And what this all (in effect) amounts to is a tacit "declaration of abandonment" of our own soldiers, who's buddies were those attacked and killed by these same people, and who heroically risked their lives to capture and imprison these Islamist desperados in the first place.

So it's high time we apologized and "made up for it", and hope the rest of the world gets the "Everybody is supposed to love us now" memo.

And ironically, bolstered by a supremely stupid decision by our leftist-leaning Supreme Court, this whole filthy mess could have been avoided were it not for a 5-4 decision by the treasonous judicists who voted for the legal rights of these radicals. Maybe now they'll help them to get jobs in the Obama administration.

Yes-- it's all in the name of "detente" with the Muslim world, as we eliminate the term, "war on terror", and replace it with a Carter-esque policy of appeasement.

Like they say: "Carter' was so devoted to peace, that he risked a big war." And Obama seems to be following the script.

And by inviting bin Ladin into the Whitehouse, maybe Obama could bypass the war with the Taliban, withdraw from Afghanistan, and resolve the nuke problem with Iran. And who knows? Maybe Hamas might switch to launching peace feelers instead of rockets at the Israelis!

Who are our major enemies in the Middle East? Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas. What are we doing about it? Be nice!  And by making nice to our enemies now as Carter once attempted to do, surely all the nice Muslims will return the favor.

And now let us all "outreach" to the enemy and close with the Obama creed:

I am Obama, champion of the meek;
Attack America, and I will turn the other cheek.
We will appease rather than take a stand;
while I transform America into a socialist land.
Long live Karl Marx and John Maynard Keynes;
as I uproot the Constitution, and reinterpret what it means.

The "Judas syndrome"...why liberals love to betray America

Ah the paradox that is Barack Obama:

He has stubbornly refused to acknowledge the triumph of the 2007 surge in Iraq, but is now calling for an "instant replay' of that wildly successful strategy in Afghanistan... (quote) “There may be some comparable opportunities in the region," Mr. Obama said.

So he has decided to employ his "outreach" strategy and write a love letter to the 'moderates' in Taliban-land. Too bad it wasn’t a month earlier. Mr. Obama would have been able to include a valentine card.

Now all of a sudden, we’re to kiss and make up-- forget that the Taliban has been providing Osama bin Ladin with safe harbor, and that the Taliban professes to be perhaps the hardest of the hard core factions of any Muslim extremist group that exists. So no moderates need apply.

Of course liberals are always doing paradoxical things to surrender to the enemy. They would rather appease than take a stand. And appeasement is provocative--it invites attack. And time and time again, history has proved it.

Remember that long forgotten organization, "America First"? America First-ers were the group that ran Wendell Wilkie as their anti-war candidate vs. Franklin Roosevelt in the 1940 election.

This once-influential leftist group, headed by Charles Lindberg as its unofficial spokesman, sought to appease and surrender to a sworn enemy of America ---the Nazis! They were hard-core isolationists-- vehemently opposed to any involvement with the goings-on in Europe in the late 1930's.

When the war clouds were gathering back then, it was Lindberg who unilaterally took it upon himself to send out "peace feelers" to Germany. He had arranged an audience with Herman Goering, the ever-pompous and arrogant chief of the Nazi Luftwaffe (air force).

Goering decide to make a pigeon of the naive Lindberg, and "revealed" to him fake plans of "experimental" German planes, such as a six-engined massive German bomber, with a 6000 mile range, supposedly capable of bombing America's Eastern coast, and then return safely to the Fatherland.

Lindberg meekly returned home with grave reports of Nazi military superiority --that the U.S. could never catch up-- and that America must at all costs avoid the coming war in Europe, should it occur.

Yes, like a liberal deer in the headlights, Charles Lindberg was blinded by fears of Hitler's supposed invincibility. And like Neville Chamberlain, he had in as much declared "peace through weakness". And reports of America First's near-treasonous activities in the United States that had filtered back to Germany, proved to be instrumental in Hitler's surprise declaration of war on America three days after Pearl Harbor

Which brings us to England's capitulation to Hitler in1938.

Neville Chamberlain was your classic liberal appeaser. He had served as British Minister of Health from 1924 to 1929. After he become Prime Minister in1937, he too surmised Hitler as invincible, and called for an appeasement foreign policy, culminating in the signing of the infamous Munich Pact in 1938, selling out Czechoslovakia to Germany, and along with that --the Skoda Works.

The Munich pact enabled Hitler to realize his most coveted European objective-- Czechoslovakia's famed Skoda Works. It was the worlds largest armaments factory; it produced heavy guns for the Nazi navy; heavy mortars and the fearsome M-42 machine guns for the Wermacht (German army), as well as locomotives, aircraft, ships, machine tools, steam turbines, and equipment for Germany's power utilities.

The Skoda Works gave Hitler and the Nazis their amazing armament capability to literally take on the entire world, and hold them at bay for the first four years of the war.

Nice job, Nev.

And the world will never forget (or forgive) Chamberlain for his calamitous "containment" policy of Germany, that in 1939, culminated in the official declaration of the Second World War.

Even after WW2, the liberals were at it again, working their devilish best to capitulate to America’s enemies. This time it was Julius and Ethel Rosenberg—America’s favorite historical couple.

The Rosenbergs--who were the duo complicit in passing our original atomic bomb secrets to the Soviets between 45-47-- arguably could be stated as the cause that emboldened Stalin to close off 1948 Berlin, because he now held an equal hand in weaponry. Thus Stalin attempted to squeeze the Allies out of East Germany, thanks to the dastardly liberal deeds of Julie and Ethel Rosenberg. But Truman's famed Berlin airlift foiled everything.

Next on the liberal “most-wanted” list was Alger Hiss, who viewed spying against his home country as little more than ‘youthful  idealism', and who would be convicted of a only a minor charge (lying under oath)  for the small infraction of surrendering America's hydrogen bomb secrets to Russia, and prolonging and escalating the cold war for another 35 years!

Arguably, the damage from Hiss changed the course of world events (for the worse) more than any other individual in American history.

And were it not for the ultra rightist, Senator Joe McCarthy, who knows how many more communist sympathizers could have been organized into a faction and possibly seized control of the democratic party, just as the liberal leftists in congress have done today.

If it hadn’t been for McCarthy, there may have been no John F. Kennedy as president, but instead a radical democratic socialist candidate (ala’ Obama) opposing Richard Nixon in1960. And after the leftist attitudes from the Vietnam era in late 60's had taken hold, this ultimately led up to the election of another liberal apologist-- Jimmy peanut-farmer Carter.

For many years after World War II, the U.S. intelligence forces had done their job well. The CIA had succeeded in stalemating the KGB during the early Cold War years .But then came the election of Jimmie Carter in 1976, and the rise of Senator Frank Church.

Carter, like all liberals, believed in being "fair". On September 7, 1977, President Jimmy Carter signed a Treaty with Panama 's strong man, Omar Torrijos, to transfer the Panama Canal to Panama, and it became one of the most heated treaties ever debated in the Senate. With a two vote margin, the transfer agreement was passed in 1978, thanks to the Senate lobbying of Frank Church.

And presently, our good friends the Chinese are seeking to aggressively expand in the isthmus country, and already own a major interest in port operations on the east and west sides of the canal. So in the event of war, the U.S. navy might be cut off from reaching our east and west coasts.

But Panama was but the least of Carter’s disastrous liberal legacy.

1977 also can be noted as when Carter made one of the most ill-conceived presidential decisions of all time: He issued an executive order that placed all nine U.S. intelligence agencies under one man: CIA Director Stansfield Turner; and If anyone wishes to seek the origin of the 9-11 attack, a good place to start would be right here.

In October of 1977, Turner decided to curb many of the clandestine practices that had brought the CIA much of its criticism from the liberal members in Congress, which were led by Idaho Senator Frank Church. In the" Halloween Massacre" of '77, Turner circulated an Oct 31st photocopied memo informing 800 CIA staffers (mostly Republicans) of their dismissal. To the joy and disbelief of our enemies, word spread quickly around the spy community that the U.S. had decided to delegate its intelligence priorities to non-human means, such as satellite observations and listening posts.

It has been noted by many historians that..."Stansfield Turner has been the single worst senior appointment in US history... and..."In eliminating virtually all human intelligence on the ground, he put the  U.S. at a strong disadvantage, especially in the Middle East and Afghanistan."

Now 32 years later, can any one dispute this most-scathing of historical criticisms?

Whatever his intentions, what Carter (and Turner) accomplished amounted to aiding and abetting the enemy, which resulted in our humiliation in Iran in the 1979 hostage crisis, the Russian war in Afghanistan in1980, and the bombing of our marines’ barracks in Lebanon in1982

And thanks to the liberal insanity of Jimmy Carter's dismantling of the CIA, we’ve lost control of our destiny in the Middle East-- giving impetus to the revival of Islamic fundamentalism-- which ultimately gave rise upon the world's stage to all of Islam's most infamous stars...Khomieni, Arafat, bin-Laden, Akmadinejad, and untold others -- including the 20 airliner hijackers who were responsible for 9-11.

Yes; the liberals--upholding the biblical inspiration of Judas--have always been seeking ways to betray the one who’s been good to them…their homeland—the United states of America!

And next in line to wear the mantle of  betrayal was another leftist America-hater, the convicted spy, John Walker, who  sold top-secret classified Pentagon information to the Soviets for 18 years. Among the secrets were keycodes being used by American ground troops fighting in Vietnam , and details about the Navy's most sophisticated nuclear submarines.

Since 1969, Walker had worked as a radio operator on a Navy supply ship (a job that gave him easy access to Pentagon keylists). And had the Cold War ever escalated to the real thing, the Soviets, knowing the locations of all American nuke subs, would have been able to destroy them all within days.

But what if there had not been any bleeding heart liberals around during the20th century? Had Lindberg and Chamberlain not been the men of their time, there may have been a European war… but a World War II?  And had it not been for the Rosenbergs and Alger Hiss, would there have been the 40-year Cold War? And were it not for John Walker, the latter half of the Vietnam war could have taken an entirely different course-- the United states may have actually triumphed by the early 70s.

And of course without Carter in the Whitehouse in 76-80, who knows?  The entire mess in the Middle East, culminating in 9-11 may never have taken place.

But through out our history, whenever liberals have had their chance to deliver a black eye to their homeland, they're of the mindset..."There! That's what you deserve...you racist, bullying, militaristic, imperialist, expansionist, United States of America!”

The point is, liberals ALWAYS want to give our enemies the benefit of the doubt, figuring that even if they ARE liars, America (in the parlance of Michelle Obama) is a downright mean, racist country, and deserves not her status as a free prosperous nation, because it was built upon the backs of "oppressed” people, and foreign, "jingoistic" imperialism.

And to make a counterpoint: In modern American history, has a conservative ever been known to be a traitor to America 's best interests, either at home or abroad? Is liberalism some kind of insidious cultural disease? Or are certain individuals born with it-- an organic physiological affliction-- a sort of “left” brain vs. ”right” brain type of thinking?

Only God knows for sure.

But with the situation America faces on the foreign front, and with a Marxist-socailist anti-president running things on the homefront, America will need God's help more than ever to get us out of this one.

The Axis of Evil may forever turn History against George Dubya Bush

Let's all play pretend for a minute; pretend that an oil strike was discovered along the Israeli-Gaza border. Like the fabled story of Jed Clanton- a wayward Katusha rocket exploded somewhere in a field and..."up from the ground came some bubblin' crude"...a new, 5 billion barrel oil field!

Something like oil wealth from an actual discovery could go a long way to resolve the hatred between Israel and the Palestinians; a bitter rift that supposedly cannot be reconciled. But in the Middle East, oil money changes everything; and it would certainly go a long way in "healing" the historic divide between the two side-by-side populations. But alas, they reside on land that has no oil to be found.

Currently the conflict is raging into its second week, as Israel continues its war on the Hamas rocketeers and their radical Islamic leaders; who defiantly continue their aggression by firing a barrage of 40-50 rockets a day; and all are provocatively aimed at civilian targets within Israeli territory.

With all the media reports of the intense suffering of the civilian populations, people around the world can only wonder, "Why do these people continue to hate each other so much... especially when they reside so close together? Like Rodney King once posited, "Can't they all just get along"?  But is there more at play here than only hatred? For Israel in the Gaza strip, the source of their conflict lies 1200 miles to the east.

The images from the fighting in Gaza are harrowing but ultimately deceptive. They portray a mighty invading army, one equipped with F-16 jets bombing a civilian population, and defended by a few thousand fighters armed with primitive rockets. But expand the picture, and the true nature of this conflict emerges: Hamas, like Hezbollah in Lebanon, is a proxy for the real enemy Israel is confronting- Iran.

Many in the West have yet to grasp that the Middle East conflict is no longer just about creating a Palestinian state, but about preventing the region's takeover by radical Islam.Iran has co-opted Hamas into transforming the Israeli-Palestinian conflict into a jihad against the Jewish state.

So now lets proceed to connect all the dots; but first, we must partake of a brief history lesson:

For years, the shahs ruled Iran. By 1970, Iran was the world's second largest exporter of oil. Iran had great geo-political importance, because it was seen as a buffer between the Soviet Union and the world's largest oil reserves. These factors made the Shah's overthrow in 1978, and Ayatollah Khomeini's rise to power, all the more important.

Oil also provided the funds for Iran to export their revolution and fundamentalism. Huge oil revenues paid for their extensive political campaigns abroad, funded the worldwide networks created to recruit radicals, and provided the financial support for Iran's surrogates in the Islamic world. So now connect the dots.

DOT # 1: In Iran, they need not keep a large standing army; they merely use other Islamic radical factions like Hamas and Hezbollah as military proxies to perform their dirty work, and remain aloof above the fray. And in conjunction, Iran is behind all the Palestinian suicide bombers; paying each family $25,000 for sacrificing those offspring deemed "to have no future"

Dot# 2: Iran is PAYING Hamas big money to launch a certain number of rockets everyday, and aim them all directly at Israeli civilian targets. This explains why Hamas' leaders remain so staunchly defiant against the overwhelming strength of the Israeli military.

Dot #3: After the inevitable U.N. ceasefire that will be forthcoming between Israel and Hamas, Iran will fire up Hezbollah in the north, and resume the intense pressure on Israel. The Iranians know the more the world's attention remains focused on that part of the world, the less attention is focused on what they are up to at home.

Dot #4: Iran's president, Mamoud Akmadinejad. He cleverly decided to divert the world's attention away from Iran's nuclear weapons program, and refocus on that good ol' mainstay, the Israeli-Palestine cauldron of woes. Just before the conflict arose, the world's attention was focused on Iran. The news contained buzz words that people didn't quite understand, like 'centrifuge' and 'heavy uranium'.

Dot #5: The timing of all this is what's interesting: it shows just how clever Akmadinejad and the Iranian mullahs are. Right when Bush is departing, and President-elect Obama is entering, the deceptiveness of the Iranian strategy is nothing short of brilliant. Last December, Obama and his foreign policy advisors were anxiously focusing on how to garner support from Europe for what to do about Iran getting "the big bomb."

But now Obama, who's been putting forth policy feelers about almost everything else, has clammed up tight about the Israeli-Hamas fray, because there is no middle ground he can seek here; and Akmadinejad knows it. Thus, the Iranians picked the ideal time to approach Hamas with, "Have we ever got a jihadist inspiration for you! Rocket launchings for big-big shekels". Just like any situation that involves political intrigue; you just follow the $$$.

Going back to 9-11 in 2001, relations between Iran and the U.S. actually began to warm for a brief period. But Bush, in his supreme arrogance, blundered the opportunity only as he could do. At that time detente was a possibility between Washington and Teheran, whose ties had soured back in the days since the Iranian revolution. Iran had been having its own problems with the Taliban, who were outspoken in their abusiveness to all the Shiite minority who resided in Afghanistan. Thus with Iran and U.S. now on the same page, it was "the enemy of thine enemy is my friend" type of budding alliance.

So for a time, Iran was cooperating with the U.S. to destroy the Taliban, and the Afghan Shiites were in a position to help with the capture of Sunni extremist Osama bin Laden.  But that cooperation came to a sudden dead end in early 2002, when George Dubya decide to huff and puff about his "axis-of-evil-Bush-doctrine" fiasco, and heedlessly singled out Iran as the center of the axis.

To this day, Akmadinejad contends, "We helped America in Afghanistan; but the result of our assistance was Bush threatening us with an attack. And for six years, he's been engaged in similar talk against us".

And with a more moderate Iran in 2003, would the Iraq war have gone more easily? And would Israel and Hamas even be fighting today? The entire geopolitical map in the Middle East may have turned in a different pro-western direction, as opposed to the present reality.

With the winding down of the long Iraq war, the moderate Islamic states now realize that it's not Israel, but a nuclear-armed Iran that should be the focus of their attention. Even the Russians have good reason to be nervous-- a nuclear-capable Iran would pose a huge threat to all their surrounding "stans"...Uzbekistan, Kurdistan, Kazakstan, etc.

And would Iran now be on the verge of nuclear proliferation, and threatening the entire Mid East with nuclear aggression? Future history can only answer that.

And as history unfolds, not the Iraq war, but Bush's recriminations about Iran, and cornering the mullahs into a defensive posture unnecessarily, may turn out to be the biggest U.S. foreign policy blunder since FDR at Yalta in 1945. It's been a blunder that might produce a hostile, nuclear-armed Iran running loose around the world for all the 21st century, when it all might have been avoided, except for that fateful State of the Union address in Jan of 2002.
